Victory - thanks for the pep talk
If I feel myself getting like it again today I'll do something to distract myself, go for a walk to the shop or have a shower.
I just hate the way I let myself get all worked up, I get all stuck in my head and upset and I dont know how to stop it. :(But clearly stuffing biscuits in my mouth is not the solution!!
Good to hear other people enjoy the Davina DVD - hope they send it to me soon. In the meantime, i've put a note up on freecycle for a bike. if no one offers one then i'll head to the second hand shop soon. just need to get moving and i know the good feelings will start to flow again.Betty B: The Eternal Procrastinator....

Thanks for the chart FS, and well done to Pudding, SOTW for two in a row, fantastic :j!! Man is defo winning over food right now for you
. Well done!!
I am managing to stick to the drive DD to school then walk home, walk back later to pick her and the car up routine. I don't know why I  never thought of it before. I had my pedometer on for the walk back and it's just under 1000 steps from school to home. (and on the way back there is a really steep hill which there is no way round!!) So I figure thats gotta help, especially as I am sticking to the weight watchers points thing.
I started on slimming world about 3 weeks ago, but the combination of the way my life is at the minute and the attitude of the body running the slimming world meetings was enough to make me think else ways.
I find the convenience of the pre packed WW meals for when we are away superb for keeping on track. And the points watching is making me realise exactly what I am eating.
Pudding, you're not wrong about the ryvita, but the packet ryvita minis in chilli flavour makes even cardboard taste a little better (although hubby is not impressed with the wind status from so much fibre!!) I have also found that I don't actually enjoy chocolate :eek::eek:(which is extremely scary when I consider how much I have eaten of it over the last 12 months ) when I eat it now, I have realised that I am eating it without tasting it. Cardboard chilli seems to slow me down and I like the taste. I never thought I would say I don't like chocolate!! Now where's the nearest psyciatric unit.......:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:You never know how strong you are until you have no other option.0 -
Hey all
sorry for my absence, a terrible couple of weeks with the never ending leak and my bank account has now been the subject of fraud which is why i didn't post last week.
Can i go down as STS both weeks Fred? I'll report reliably next week xMortgage free wannabe!:

Does anybody else like watching biggest loser? I recorded it from uk living and am finding it so motivational. The uk version is a bit rubbishy but the usa series's are great, the tasks set for the [STRIKE]victims[/STRIKE]contestants are fantastic.
I've just watched one where they run round an obstacle course wearing a suit thats filled with weight the same as the same as all the lard theyve lost since the start of the series.
think I need one of those suits! Been looking on ebay but cant find one anywhere - not even sure really what its called though. grr! any ideas where can I get one??
Fellpony - thanks re: two weeks sotw. it is slightly biased towards people like me the size of a small planet. 7lbs is only 1.8%, i'm sure there are people on here that have lost a higher % than that and well done to all that have :-)

Hi gang,
Welcome to the newbies, join in the chat here for maximum benefit & don't be shy, we're all gorgeous here!
I weighed myself yesterday morning, and then completely forgot to report it before the chart. Sorry Fred. It's TOTM this week (2 wks late) anyway, so no loss to report. I hope I'll feel much better now it's out of the way, as it's been grumbling for about 3 weeks. Don't know if it's a hormonal change thing, or just a blip.
I've been busying myself with moving furniture around, and sorting out kiddies bedrooms this week. I'm also fully focussed on preparing for Christmas, which is why I forgot to post here yesterday.
I also have the food talking to me from the cupboard, or around the s/mkt. It's a blimming nightmare.
Fellpony - I'm really glad DD is able to go back to school, how's she finding it? Well done on leaving the car at school. I'd never considered doing it that way round before.
Vix - good luck with the job application. I hope you manage to find something that uses your degree fully. My neice is studying for a similar degree to your's and I worry she'll be left in the same position. My older neice did a marketing degree, and then ended up being a Thompson rep overseas, but she said the wealth of experience she learnt from doing that was huge, and it was really hard work. She also managed to find herself a husband in the Italian ski resorts too! Love the coat too BTW.
Puds - what can I say? You have become a man on a mission, and I like it! I'm so glad the losses are coming in thick and fast. Out of interest, what is an average daily menu like for you?
Victory - that's a brilliant result for you and your LO. My lads don't seem to be losing anything, so I'm worried that it's me doing something wrong here now. What are you giving your LO each day, especially for packed lunches and evening meals? My youngest seems to be doing better than my 12 y/o, because he's more keen on sports, and has just started to go to a boxing club twice a week, where they do a mean workout each time for an hour. I'm hoping that will have an effect. I know I need to go out and exercise with them to encourage them more, but I'm concerned about tweaks to their diet most of all. They have cereal for b/fast, which they have to weigh out, with 1% milk, lunch is a roll, piece of fruit, piece of h/m flapjack, low fat yogurt, small packet of crisps. Dinner is usually what the rest of the family have, but occasionally they'll have a light tea of soup with toast, or eggs & toast. Are you calorie counting for your lad?
granny - I hope the new diet has the required result for your hip. How are you doing with that now, is it still very painful? I hope things have settled more for your daughter too; it's an unsettling time for a family.
Right, I still have 2 more bedrooms to sort out yet, so my housework is far from done today. Gotta crack on with that, as it's all energy burnt.
Determined to keep trying harder... I keep saying that, I know! One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home0 -

what channels show the usa and aussie ones?
I have never watched it, however every time they release a new mp3 soundtrack/workout album it's usually free so i download them to use at the gym or when walking. They are really good remixes of chart music but all at the same tempo to help your workout.Betty B: The Eternal Procrastinator....

sky1 /sky1 hd are near the end of one of the USA ones, mon 8pm
auzzie was on sky real lives which the gits closed a month or so ago :mad::mad:
although rumours are some people have download all 5 series (around 350 episodes), they go into far far far more detail on diet and training on the auz show and the 5ht series introduced the master class which was excellent.
my missus jogs to the BL cd's0
