    Anyone advise please ?
  • I'm jealous!!! *stamps foot with impatience* We had the mortages offer and surveys done 2 weeks ago, and nothing since! I've been chasing the solicitors but nothing is moving. It's very frustrating as I'd like to complete before the end of October but it all seems to be out of my hands now :(

    Good luck!

    same for me.
  • Oh god, got the mortgage deeds, transfers deeds and sale agreement papers to all sign yesterday - still hoping to complete next week as soon as searches come back.

Am I all on my own  Am I going to win the race? :j

PS - Still haven't packed  :rotfl:

If you do win, you very well deserve it, but hey it is more about getting into our new homes.

At the moment my hands are tied because we are waiting for searches and vendor's solicitor and there isn't much we can do about it.

    Ya better get packing .....
  • I'm still waiting for that something to go wrong......

If we get delayed though, it's not a problem. I'm going to pack once we have our keys :D

All very very standard. Surveyor covering back. Up to you whether to get wquote, re repointing fairly easy to do yourself if you are handy,

I'm throwing in the towel .. quick off the blocks but now everything has come to a standstill. It's really annoying having to chase up solicitor ! Expect I'll be sending a letter to the partners at the end of it all .. *note in diary* chase up solicitor on Monday !
  • Finding out about costs has been a real financial punch in the gut. First quote from a conveyancer was £3006. Have managed to find another quote for closer to £2450, which is a little more like it,

Are you serious?? He's charging you 2 1/2 grand for conveyancing? Are you buying 17 commercial leases in your property?

I'd do it for 200 quid.

    Hiya

Note for my diary too. Ring the solicitors!!!

Just realised yesterday that I will be unable to take holiday during the last two weeks of November. That means I most certainly do not want to be moving then.

So anyway, unless we exchange within the next two weeks (with a completion of no later than 13 November (as we we have to give a months notice on our rented place) WE WILL HAVE TO DELAY the whole thing as we will only be able to move in December then.

    Arrrrrrgggggghhhhhh !!!!!!!!
  • I hope it picks up izoomzoom, the main thing is that you'll be in for Christmas :xmassmile that's been my aim all along and even if we get delayed, before christmas would still be great.
