It's a fee free mortgage so I guess i'll be fine for them to go ahead with valuation ?
Havn't got a site to show you it I'm afraid but it's a nice modern looking 2 bedroom mid link house. Got a pretty decent size back garden with patio and grass and a small front garden with just grass. There is also a separate plot which I can build a garage on and they also own a parking space across the road.
It's in a lovely area just up the bank from the river with 1/4 million pound houses around itJust got a lounge and kitchen downstairs but it'll certainly do for me.
Needs double glazing still though and the ceiling skimming and a bit of work in the sitting room just to make it a bit bigger as it has the stairs in the sitting room as well and I might change those cause it's only small 11'10 x 14'1
Love it to bits though can't wait to move in.0 -
You will still need to pay for a survey though at some point and make absolutely sure that they are offering a free valuation as part of the fee free service before you instruct one.
It sounds like a good property though, this is where the fun starts!0 -
Yeah I knew about the survey, I was told the fees cover booking fee, valuation fee, and completion fee.
Yep this certainly is where the fun starts0 -
Hello, Im new to this website, but I thought I'd let u know that Im happy for all you house buyers, we are in the same situation. FTB offer accepted 16th Sept, already had our mortgage provisionally sorted but our mortgage advisor was on holiday on 18th for 2 weeks!! so after much pannic and talking to multiple people from Nationwide we finally got it sorted, the survey was done found 2 trivial things wrong which we got checked out by a builder on tues, and one doesnt need attention but there is about 6 bricks which need pointing on the porch!! I think i could do that myself to be fair LOL.
Just waiting for the solicitors searches to be reported and then its all go, the vendors are moving into an empty property, and the vendors of that property want it all done for end of november... SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO excited and fed up of renting this new build house which is made out of paper (plasterboard.... even the walls that separate the house from the others- its a mid terrace)
GOOD LUCK EVERY ONE!!!
esp Mooky for tomorrow

Grrrr the mortgage advisor cancelled cause the person who was meant to be meeting my tonight is off sick. They are going to ring back in the next 24hrs to rearrange.0

Just Phoned mortgage advisor... they sent a letter to our letting agents for a rental reference on 28th sept and chased them up on 11th oct and they still havent received anything.
So I called agents, who said they were doing right that second... HMMMMMM
taking no chances I called my MA again, she said to send proof of rental payments eg on bank statements, so I copied all my statements, and tried to fax on my "3 in 1" printer.... wouldnt work.... scanned them printed them in rubbish fax quality and didnt offer me a box to put recipient number in (it said it would!), so Ive scanned and saved all statements, and written up a fax form... e-mailed it to my bf (who is Mega busy) at work, who is going to fax it to our MA.... ARRRGGGHHHH
hopefully that will mean that nothing is left to do and we will get our mortgage offer ASAP.... as i get the feeling there is only that and the search results left before contracts and stuff....
although on our case tracker site for the solicitors it says under "Contracts signed and clients advised" that is was done on 16th oct we havent heard anything... do we have to sign or does our solicitor do it
I really dont understand this whole process0 -
Finaly managed to get a meeting with the bank yesterday so that's all signed. They said it will go through the bank manager first then passed to the next people in the line and the house will be valued by them. Ooo it's getting exciting now
Told AE that, that was done now so they can stop ringing me. In all honestly I'm not sure why they are ringing me seen as the current owners of the house havn't got a new one lined up yet.

after a week of contstant chasing and harassing (guess that's what you have to do if you want solicitors/agents to do what they're being paid to do) .. signed the contract today before solicitor goes on hols for a week *sigh* .. and may have a completion date of 3rd Nov !.0
-
Well we've now got the contracts. Which we're about to send back.
Hopefully we're going to exchange W/E 10/11/06 with completion a couple of weeks later.
I'm a bit on edge at the moment with all my savings about to be swallowed up in an instant but I know we've done the right thing.
We got a bit of a kick in the stomach though when we saw how much our vendors had paid just 4 years ago.......£23,000!!!
Somehow I don't think that it will increase by that percentage in the next 4 years for us!0 -
Great stuff !!
You will be so chuffed when you have exchanged.
We are still waiting for outstanding documentation.0
