A & L migration to Santander
Comments

I requested a Paypal withdrawal to my bank account before I realised that I had been migrated, obviously it used the old sort code and account number and it arrived safely. I don't know if we are meant to go on using the old codes but they still work.
The old codes will work indefinitely. Imagine the problems they'd have if they didn't....come to think of it..this is Santander!0 -
My formal complaint is now winging its way to A & L!
I wont hold my breath for a rapid reply. I've not had any reaction or response to the secure message I sent on Monday of last week.

Misterfish............ well done re- formal complaint. I won't hold my breath either !!!
I am pleased to report that my WHOLE account is now fully migrated and available to me as of 9.30pm last night - that's only 3+ weeks, not bad for Santander eh ?
Tig....relieved but will test all aspects of transfers etc.

I've encountered a new problem - thought I'd just post it here. I'm registered for gross interest and previously received the interest payments to my account gross, however, my interest payment this week has come net.
I'm away at the moment so I can't contact them (not looking forward to that) Has anyone else had this happen?

Don't expect too much! I sent them a secure message about my problem on Monday of last week. I've heard nothing. I keep checking the 'Your messages' option as instructed on the screen displayed after sending the message.

Yes. I spoke to someone who didn't seem to feel this was an issue. They casually said they would post out a new R85 and I asked them to confirm that this would be with a freepost envelope. If it isn't I shall take issue.0 -
Well my sorry saga goes on. I still cannot get into my account. I had a phone call today from Santander credit cards because of a late payment!!!!!!! They had even charged me 12.00 because of it. The person on the phone is obviously not allowed to see the irony - very professional I must say. The direct debit was set up last month and came out without any problems so I am now worried that maybe more of my direct debits won't be able to go through. I also had to ring back to sort out getting the 12.00 credited back to my account.
I am really, really peed off with all of this and feel totally powerless!!!!0 -
Well....I was told if I cannot use online banking but I can access the telephone banking! So let's give that a try shall we?
Guess what? It doesn't work either!
Automatic message saying "sorry, we cannot access your account". It transferred me to Customer Services department. To be fair to the lady on the phone, she was very nice and I explained that I wasn't angry with her. She then told me, in a nutshell, that the migration to Santander for some customers has basically been screwed up!! There is no timeline on getting it fixed either! She logged yet another "fault form"....
I 'kindly' ended the conversation with "I is not your fault, but A&L/Santander has just lost a customer....."
I hope my direct debits are ok!!! I am getting a coop account soon but I still have a Barclays account for household bills etc. I think I'll write myself a cheque and transfer the lot over to that account. I get paid on Friday and I don't want those bunch of bandits messing up my money!0
