well, good news & bad news from me.

good news - the 2 payments in the bank this morning are child tax credit payments.

bad news - they've not awarded me any working tax credit. apparently, you have to phone up after your claim has been sorted if you expect your 2010/2011 income to be lower than 2009/2010. why ask for these details on the form if you have to phone up with them afterwards . i now have to wait for this to be sorted out now. tax credits ehh!!

When i foned this morning it said awaiting payment then she put me on hold for a bit then came back and asked for a contact number and when i asked was their a problem she just said it was that my national insurance had been used before( single claim) and it had to go to some office!

Thats what they have told me too, apparently my initial award will be based on my partners P60 for 09/10 (so will be about £47 a week) and once its on the ''system'' I can phone in with the new details from his new job and they'll amend it for the lower income (so adding another £60-£70 on each week), then if he does overtime we'll get either (as I havent managed to figure out the exact rules yet) a disregard or a bill for overpayment next April which will come off next years award.

Am managing okay at the moment, but a tad worried about the summer holidays and the kids birthdays at the end of the month. Keeping my MP informed, and will call tax credits today to check they have my form (as I posted it last friday).

Excellent to hear some good news, TS I hope yours comes through for you soon xx

Congrats to the ppl that have finally had a payment. NosieRosie from what Iv experienced before a change of circumstances (ie new income) shouldn't take too long, apparently there's only problems like long delays when you cancel a single claim and start a joint claim. Even new single claims dont take time like this. I tell you what If I ever end up single again Im not letting anyone move in with me unless there rich lol... Good luck sorting yourself out. Once Iv got my money I need to change this year's income due to spending 6 months of the year on maternity leave! Just hope I get enough to cover nursery and school fees for now! The mortgage will have to wait!
