Please please don't pay them anything at all, these tickets are not enforceable, you don't owe them anything, they will not take you to court at all, they are scamming you, please read the sticky threads on this section, excel are very well known on here.
Also I think for them to offer to pay in installments they need a credit consumer licence, something they likely don't have!
have i riuned my chances of getting out of this though by offering to pay in instalments ?0 -
thank you for your advice, i am really scared because i have never had anything like this before, i am worried that because i offered to pay monthly as i could not afford the full amount, im worried that they can hold me to that ?0

can anyone please please help me, i parked in a disabled bay on a car park in brierley hill west midlands, this car park had a few years before been owned by the council, i recently gained my blue disability badge so am new to parking where i like, ( with my disability badge i can park on council pay & display without paying ) but i thought in a disabled bay i would be ok, i did not know it was a private car park. when i received my first ticket i sent e mail explaining why i thought i didnt have to pay a fee, and i was also worried that i would have more tickets issued ( as i had used this car park a few times over three months ) i have now had three, i told Excel i could not pay the £180 thay asked for but they said if i didnt pay in 7 days i would have to pay £300. i sent them all my financial details and they have agreed to let me pay at £20 a month, but after reading all the posts on here i dont think i should, but i dont want to be taken to court, or have bailiffs knockin my door. can anyone please give me advice. my first payment is due this week 1st Dec
I seriously think you should post this thread on https://www.pepipoo.com there are experts on there regarding stuff like this.
Have you still got proof that they said you can pay in instalments? an email, a letter, anything with proof on? This could potentially be very very damaging to them.
You found this site now go tell your friends and friends of friends about it and also pepipoo.
Remember you can stop worrying now, just totally forget about them and just totally ignore them from now on. You have done nothing wrong whatsoever. By the way, blue badges don't mean a thing in a private car park.

No please remember this is NOT a debt, you don't have any legal reason to pay them this money, they are have no powers, they cannot force you to pay unless they take you to court and they win, if you have won the lottery jackpot tonight, that is the kind of odds of them taking you to court.Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
if i was the unlucky one who was sent to court would it be expensive for me ? never been to court0

No because they never ever go to court, and they can only claim for material losses, if the car park is free that means there is no loss, if its a pay and display they can only claim circa £2 an hour maximum, if its residents parking, there is no loss.

Right, you must post a new thread on pepipoo outlining this fact and scan the letter on their site removing all your identifying details also any other letters you may have from them too. There are some ladies and gents from the legal profession on there.
This could be serious for Excel.0
