Just had the 'Notice to owner' letter, full of red ink...the Mrs was a bit worried, but seeing the set of scanned example letters reassured her (I think).

Just wondering if anyone else has had this experience with the first letter we received in response to our email which included the scan of ticket we actually had - they stated "Enclosed herewith is the photographic evidence obtained that clearly displays...etc"

But, there was no photograph with the letter. Which makes me think do they really have a photo at all?

Does anyone know if anyone has actually been taken to court on this at all?

Just want to be reassured that if we ignore, it will not end up that way...

I wouldn't mind, but we had (and still have!) a bloody ticket!

Excel took someone to court for a 'ticket' at this very car park....and lost. The judge told them that their signs were completely inadequate. The signs to this day have not been changed. Do you think they will try again?

    Did you not watch Watchdog?

Glad you are still ignoring, this will not result in Court because almost all cases do not - but do keep all the letters safe with the P&D ticket anyway until the whole con stops.

Here are all the relevant Watchdog videos (do not just watch the one from last week as they are all relevant to you & your wife, for reassurance):

Statistically, your chances of actually getting taken to Court (as opposed to receiving empty threats about it) work out something like this:

You could get a parking ticket every day, seven days a week, fifty two weeks a year.

After doing that for 60 (yes, sixty!) years, you would have been taken to court ONCE.

Put it into perspective instead of worrying about it.

You dont have a bloody ticket,, you have an unenforceable invoice, meaning its a SCAM/CON/FIDDLE/,,only a PENALTY charge notice is legit ,you have a PARKING CHARGE NOTICE =fake, unenfoceable invoice=loo paper,,you wil recieve lots more loo paper in the form of threat o grams, they are all part of the scam,,e.g. roxburghe(we have zero powers) debt collectors and the world famous (not) phoney/pretend solicitors,,graham white,,,so when you have done with loo paper what you usually do with it,,simply, PRESS FLUSH and forget it,relax, chill, feet up,,enjoy the rain,,and IGNORE.there you go , jobs a good un then.nothing can/will happen to you as a result of this SCAM.

I have received a 'Letter' today also, stating that on so and so date I parked at the Peel Centre-Stockport. Yes I did go there, it was mine and my girlfriends first visit and didn't see Any signs saying 'Pay and Display' nor did I see any meters, if I had, I would've paid!!
As it happens I am a Professional Private Investigator and will be taking this all the way to the Courts. I will be gathering as much evidence as I can, including photos of the Car-Park and their measly signage and intend to ignore Every letter they waste their time posting to me.
If there is anyone else who intends to stand up to these Stripey shirt & Mask wearing 'Robbers' then email me at stuart@greeve-pi.co.uk

I can't represent you but I will help you in any way I can..

    Cheers
