  • I have used the BBC watchdog site to post my situation - if more people posted I'm sure they will launch an investigation in Mobileshop and maybe we will get somewhere with them.

If anyone remembers or was involved in the debacle with the ISP e7even, numerous people contacted Watchdog over them before they finally disappeared and Watchdog did not want to know. I never ever saw anything about e7even and know hundrends of people contacted them and were treated very badly. so unless THOUSANDS of people or even HUNDREDS of thousands of people contact Watchdog it'll probably be the same.

I'm waiting for cashback from MS too - although mine is not yet overdue and so far all mine have been paid.

I would suggest instead of the legal route (probably the small claims court which I believe you can now do online) - people contact Trading Standings first. If TS get enough enquiries they may be more inspired to look into it?

Perhaps MS will give them a better statement of what is going on. And TS can tell you what exactly you need to do to try to get your cashabck.

Mobileshop paid one of my o/s cashback claims yesterday, apprently paying in terms of when received. This had been received by them in January. They say they have a backlog of cliams which require manually input onto Bacs forms, hence delays.

They are offering Argos vouchers in excess of cashback due quicker.£105CB = £110.25Avs.

That's quite reassuring. So they have not stopped paying cashbacks. Sure enough there will be some (many?) which are now overdue.

They've had mine since November! :(

I've asked for all overdue cashback by Friday or else it'll be a trip to moneyclaim by me.

I'm surprised it's come to this.

I tried in those two threads to explain, in terms a simpleton could understand, why your assertion that mobileshop was 'bankrupt' was false; I failed!

I clearly cannot dumb things down enough for you to understand, so I won't try to explain why gross incompetence on it's own doesn't justify yet another thread spouting incomprehensible tripe.

Still, I am interested in how you think they make money from giving me a phone for free?

This thread is starting to go the way of the others and will suffer the same fate it we don’t get back on topic and stick to facts.

Mobileshop has NOT (at least as of Friday 13th) stopped paying cashback. They clearly have some serious problems with their payment system but several people (myself included) have recently received their outstanding CB payments.

I have previously posted (#146) the action I took with Mobileshop that resulted in me getting paid and would suggest that that is the 1st step to take if you really are not having any joy with them.

It may be that some people who they are not replying to will need to take action via Moneyclaim, however as far as I am aware, nobody has yet done this and I to would be surprised if they allowed it to go that far.

I’m sure if grayme-m or others decide on that route they will kindly post their experiences back here.

Hi, just had a chat with mobileshop.com live help re: administration and that’s what they say about the situation

Please wait for a site operator to respond. You are number 1 in a queue of 1. Our Customer Service pages have answers to the most Freqently Asked Questions or for Cash Back enquiries see our Cash Back Help Centre or submit an enquiry online via our Contact Form. Thanks for holding.
You are now chatting with 'Kylie'
Kylie: Hi, how can I help ?
    zytno: hello
zytno: part of your company is in administration will this affect you?
zytno: this worries me a lot
Kylie: B2B Mobiles went into Voluntary administration on 16th March. B2B Mobiles are not part of Mobileshop.com or the Mocom Group, as we were purley fulfilment for them, so this does not affect Mobileshop.com

Where the truth is i don’t know but my cashback is late 1 day (61days now)
will definitely send them email as advised in #146
    Thank you

"Thank you for emailing the cashback team at Mobileshop.Com.

We are currently experiencing difficulties with making cashback payments due to a technical problem we’ve encountered with our in-house computer systems. We are working hard to resolve this problem with our technical team.

We anticipate that our cashback payment systems will be operating normally in the near future when your claim will be processed. At this time we can not advise on payment dates.
