Am bumping this up - cos I like the idea of small victories! Yesterday mine was dealing with a bit of paperwork that was really hanging over me - it took a couple of hours, but then it was finally dealt with! Great feeling!Resolution:

Have finally declutttered and cleaned 2nd freezer in anticipation of goodies from the gardenSometimes not moving backwards is as much an achievement as moving forwards is on other times. (originally posted by kidcat)
It's only a bargain if you were going to buy it anyway!0 -

I was at the drugstore this morning picking up some anti stomach acid tablets and hair coloring.. when I saw a big sign telling me that If I bought 2 home brand hair colorings, I'd get a 3 euro discount. SInce I needed some anyway I thought: HA!
So after I'd paid I checked my receipt and noticed the discount had not been given. Before, I would have shrugged it off, not wanting to bother about going back in and such. But I did today. I'm learning that every little bit counts so I went back and politely asked for my 3 euro's back.
I felt quite chuffed actually! hahaha..
And another victory happened quite unexpectedly... Youngest daughter decided to go play at a friends house this afternoon. Eldest daughter went outside with her friends... and middle daughter is going swimming with her friends...
My regular wednesday afternoon guest child is ill so he's not showing up either. That means I have a wonderful long afternoon all to myself!! :T:T0 -
i picked 1.5 lbs of home grown peas today, the second picking in a week, My OH made a delicious chilled pea soup with the pea shucks so absolutely nothing was wasted, and this second picking will provide us with more pea soup for the freezer. Two for the price of one!0

Sounds like there are some nice victories going on, its good news. I have one too, my Dd and her partner have just booked a very cheap holiday - their last before they move in to their house (hopefully) as they will be concentrating on making an O/S home for themselves. The victory bit is ... I get to look after grandson for the week as his passport would defeat the object of the cheap holiday and he wouldn't really enjoy it at 10 weeks old!!!Clearing the junk to travel light
Saving every single penny.

My victory today is the time it took to hoover the rug. Less than a minute instead of the 40ish minutes it took previously!
How? Our old hoover was rubbish. We bought it because it was a *pet* one with a turbo brush, but the turbo brush clogged up the first time it was used and the bad design meant that we couldn't unclog it. The big head attachment didn't have a brush on it, so I had to resort to using the tiny upholstery brush, after getting down on hands and knees and using a rubber brush to get most of the dog hair up.
Anyway, I was looking on the Asda website and saw they had a Bissel reduced to £49. Nearly all the reviewers had given it 5 stars and several had mentioned that it was good at picking up the dog hair, so we went a bought one last night.
Our rug was absolutely covered in hair as I hadn't hoovered for a while, (I'd gone on strike as hubby has made the living room a tip!) but when I tried the new hoover on it, it took probably less than a minute and looks even better than when I'd used the rubber brush and hoover before.
Then I did the hall and dining room. Took 10 minutes max. Yay, victory!
Haha, I must be getting old, I'm excited about a new hoover!

Two large plastic crates of "stuff" stored in old shed (which is now demolished!) - having sorted through there's not even enough stuff left to even a quarter fill one box! Why did I ever keep all this rubbish in the first place? Still, that's my newest victory!Resolution:
