Managed NOT to have an argument - we were out to the pub, a couple of afternoon beers in the shade, and a relaxed chat.... there`s a few `issues` , a potential row that`s been lurking awhile, but I managed to remain calm, dignified, and put in some comments based on long-term observations. Managed NOT to get huffy or sulky. Now concentrating on tonight`s meal, and trying not to get smug and blow it!

OK this is a bit silly, but ...

I have a big online grocery shop coming tomorrow (carefully budgeted for of course). Tonight we had hardly anything in the house for tea. The old me would have rushed off to the local overpriced convenience shop to buy something (or even worse got a takeaway).

Instead I found 1/2 a loaf of bread, some left over chilli in the freezer, a bit of cheese and three potatoes. Made toasted chilli and cheese sarnies with potato wedges and it was just fine. DS said it was a lovely tea - bless him!

    Very proud of myself!

Oh i love this thread :D
Hope you dont mind me joining in!! My victory (which hasnt actually happened yet but WILL) is selling some things on Ebay. They are all due to finish today and all have bids :T. Two of the items were Christmas pressies that were given to my son but were a size too small and I had contemplated taking them back to the shop but we dont have one close so now after 6 months I have finally listed then on ebay and so far the are sitting at a total of £7.85 which I am very happy with.
The other victory (although not sure it is really classed as a victory) is that my Dad will be taking my son swimming this morning allowing me to get on with a little bit of housework and then mum, dad, myself and my boy will all be going for a picnic because it is a beautiful day :D

My victory is starting up my bokashi bin again. I had a 10% code for Wiggly Wigglers (thanks to a poster on these forums) so effectively got a 1kg bag of bokashi bran free. I've been through the fridge and cleared out all the grot that otherwise would have been thrown in the dustbin. I've had a friend from China staying - she has gone now but left lots of inedible (to me!) stuff in the fridge for me to dispose of. It's all gone in the bokashi bin.

The plan is to keep the bokashi going and take the fermented stuff down to my allotment and bury it in my raised beds. If I can do this all winter I should have lovely fertile soil next spring!

Victory today was finally getting new greenhouse on its "feet", with help from family. It had been lying in pieces in the garden for weeks.

As I am up at 6.30 to feed the chickens I could probably post a good morning message as I doubt i will have many victories at that time apart from managing to keep my eyes open

My victories for today are listing 6 items on Ebay ranging from £0.99 to £200.00 and I have watchers already on the expensive item.

Have also listed 5 books on Green Metropolis - never used it before so not sure how I feel about this.
