Lovely thread.
Mine today was finishing a small cross stitch pattern I had, sticking it onto a piece of card and giving it to my mum for her forthcoming birthday - it's not brilliant - I'm not the best at cross stitch but my mum won't care one bit - saves on an expensive birthday card and sooo much nicer ...Mortgage FreeSave £5,000 in 2020[CENTER:j0 -
Ubamother nice victories today, bargains and getting a free lunch at John Lewis's expense is pretty good. I hate slow service in somewhere that is a bit pretentious to say the least.
Seems a lot of us have had a good day, I just had reduced duck and veg made by Sil and theres enough for me to make a cassoulett tomorrow - the beans are soaking as we speak. Loving the low use of electric too, gardens full of washing!Clearing the junk to travel light

Repeats mantra to self "no i will not fill it up with carp,no i will not fill it up with carp".0 -
U truly hope u keep tp your mantra kezlou otherwise I'd feel very sorry for the poor carp:D Love the thread, my victory today is finally finishing the washinp up, which may not seem like much but for the last 3 days I've never managed to actually finish it off completely. I'll enjoy it for the next 4 hrs til I cook tea :rotfl:Thailand 3010/15000 20150

Small victory already - got up early to sweep the dirt and ???? of 26 years from behind the old freezer (out in the garage) before the delivery men have arrived! (Have you noticed how such people always see what's behind appliances? I always feel such a !!!!!!! Discovered it was nearly rusted through at back and base, so no guilt about changing it!Resolution:
Think twice before spending anything!0 -
OK, so I dropped my guard and had a packet of crisps with lunch.
But... then walked past the doughnuts that were in the kitchen at work this afternoon.
Got home and had a sit down, but knew I had to get on the bike for a workout. I had to dig very deep for victory to drag myself off the sofa.... but I did and did an hour's pedalling.
Feeling much better now.0 -
I picked the first 8 ripe strawberries from the garden - and only 2 had been nibbled by birds/snails!
Then DD came back from the shops with 2 large punnets of strawberries reduced to 49p each! I have found a recipe for no-cook jam which can be frozen, so might use them for that0 -
Mine is 12 strawberries from the garden, and another day without the pesky slugs getting my hosta, thanks to slug pellets ( hate using them,) over the years they have been nibbled to shreds, so this year i will not be beaten lol0

My victories today include a clean house for the weekend (relatively) and getting a reply by email from a company that I had brought a beauty product which had a very limited expiry date. They were very good and checked their stock to discover a whole batch had the same expiry date which apparently was incorrect as their products have a shelf life of 4 years and they had only been operating 18 months. I think they were actually quite pleased to have discovered the mistake so they could get onto the packaging manufacturer about the mistake. Anyway as an apology for my trouble even though the product is good, they offered to send another product of my choosing. So I am going to be getting a $70 moisturiser for merely writing a polite email expressing my dissatisfaction:jThailand 3010/15000 20150

I went shopping in Asda, the Special K was on offer for £2, I took 2 different flavours, checked my receipt after check out and was charged £2.76 for one of them. Got my 76p refunded and a £2 gift card, Victory!0
