Victory of the day

  • Small victory, OH has swept the floor each morning(2 very hairy dogs), and the dishes have been done by me each night before bed for a whole week! I've followed flylady for some time on and off, but still managed to end up crises cleaning each weekend( The whole leave it to the weekend type thing) Each task only takes minutes a day, but also encourages us to put other stuff away as we go- Especially my DH who previously would leave shoes, papers, rubbish etc where they fell, now he knows that for it to take only a few moments in the morning they can't just be left on the floor:p

Now I have free from housework weekend! I can do something nice! Yee Haa!:j
Right now I'm having amnesia and deja- vu at the same time. I think I've forgotten this before

A spot of thread necromancy here, to tell of my somewhat questionable, rather odd, and slightly yo-yo like victory:

Nipped to the shop and got myself a bag of chocs, but when I went to pay they scanned at a price a few pence higher than was labeled on the shelf. I protested as I thought they were overpriced enough anyway, and so was charged the lower shelf price instead of the scan price.

However later when I opened them they were partly stuck together, partly crushed to smithereens and were coated in "that weird stuff" chocolate sometimes gets. I know it's still safe to eat with the weird stuff showing on it but I tried one and they didn't taste right either. No choccy for me!

So seeing as I was passing anyway the next day I took them back in and asked for a refund, which I was given freely with no objection. However (again), the cashier scanned the pack to see how much they were to refund me - this shop doesn't routinely give out receipts. Of course the higher scan price came up. So I was refunded a little bit more than I'd actually paid.
