I have 2 victories to share, I managed to go to a debt advice charity ON MY OWN this week. They were so helpful and friendly. Even though the situation is pretty dire they think an IVA will be our best course of action in dealing with 74K of debt. 2nd victory was in convincing hubby that things really are that bad and he agrees we need to do something.
Its a step in the right direction!!
Well done, dizzypink! I think that was a really brave thing to do. And now you and hubby will pull in the same direction so between you, you will get it sorted.Aspire not to have more but to be more.

My victory today is after a late shift (Friday lates are THE worst, it`s all last-minute !!!!! so the ESSO workers (Every Sat/Sun Off) can clear off for the weekend, hectioc till they leave, but I remained calm and cheerful till 9pm, by looking forward to coming home and trying a new recipe for supper. Even if it hadn`t worked so well, it`d have served its purpose that way. But it DID work, so that`s a double Victory for the day!
(Nigel Slater`s chicken burgers, actually. ) I had a £3 pack of Iceland 4 chicken breasts, today was the use-by date, bit of bacon needed using, always have parmesan in fridge, 3 slices of stale bread in fridge, and my last egg. Served with a bit of steamed rice mixed into stir fry comprising - 5 tired runner beans, some part steamed white cabbage, half a big yellow pepper, and some tired dryish mushrooms. I Found the pan that I used last night (after another late) when I`d used loads of fresh ginger and used up a few courgettes and first half of that big yellow pepper, with cold duck breast.
Lots of gingery oil left in the pan, so just threw stuff together tonight and wasted nothing. Feel good about that, and the chicken burgers & stir fry, happy household, pile of pots in sink but DS promised to do them tomorrow while I`m shopping. I`ll probably beat him to it, but don`t honestly mind that much, a day in the kitchen is a great antidote to a day at work (AND vice versa!)0 -

Arranm now go to sleep ----posting at 4.40 am is a victory in its self. Im one of those insomniac people but after about 3 am I darent post cos it wouldn't make sense by then.
Well done though in finishing both your major projects.
Emm-in-a-pickle can I come for tea? that sounds like some glorious food, I like Nigel Slaters cooking but his voice seems to lull me into a nice place and I never remember the recipes!
Not had a victory yet today...am still waiting..... tbh all Ive done is feed animals, small people and next is me......but I will have a victory today maybe start my sock knitting:):):):):)Clearing the junk to travel light

My victory is that I have finally cleaned under the cooker and mopped the kitchen floor. It has been niggling at me for days and I have been having nightmares about cockroaches (I don't have them btw, but they are my biggest dread!).
Also I have done the washing up at a decent time this evening so now I can go straight to bed without groaning and staying up to do it:j
And today's final victory will (I hope) be a good night's sleep now that the weather has cooled down a bit!Aspire not to have more but to be more.

Victories today include getting to Mass this evening..i wasn;t well in the day and felt a bit better this evening so went to Church. So glad i did!
I also used up some leftovers and turned them into something completely different...well, not completely because they contained the same ingredients...but i cooked them a different way after adding some herbs and spices.
Today was also my 8th NSD, so that pleased me enormously.Grocery Challenge for October: £135/£200
