3 victories today:
* going to get breakfast that was already paid for instead of lazier option where I'd have to spend money
* dragging self to gym where I actually had an enjoyable half hour on the treadmill
* finding this thread! :j
I love reading such positive things, it's really made me feel much more upbeat and cheerful. so thank you all.0 -
Three victories (I'm doing well!):
1) Was not molested by moth, spider or any other creature last night (I couldn't go to sleep for ages because a mate messaged saying there was a moth in her room and I got all paranoid in case something had secretly crept into mine :rotfl:)
2) I had Spain in our mini sweepstake at work so with my stake taken away that's £14 profit made today. I was sooo pleased last night when I found out they (I!) had won!
3) My scaldy hand is almost all well now, so I've decided it was worth it because the stock seems to have worked out great.0 -
I had bought 2 trays of seedlings to plant up my balcony troughs at £4 each when I walked past the seeds aisle and saw a pkt of 500 flower seeds for £2.So I came home ,filled tray with HM compost ( Oh I am so proud ) planted the seeds and 3 days later we have 1/4 in seedlings so I reckon I'll be replanting the mini flower seedlings in less than 2 weeks.
Was given 4 hanging baskets from neighbours as they were moving out of their rented house and were going to throw them.
Had a generous friend buy my 2 youngest an icecream today as I gave them a lift to town - was going to the library anyway.
My maintenance man from work kindly drove over this evening to fix my downstairs loo for no charge - have got a bag of Twinks for him as a thankyou.
Thats all folks....

Major victory, Dd has been offered a house about 10 minutes away - thank goodness - so I will get half my house back, my bills will go way down and someone won't need to use 15 pans and 10 knives to cook tea, which takes 3 hours! Sil is a chef so he can now go and mess up his own kitchen and bring me ready made meals:rotfl::rotfl:I am absolutely crossing everything that they take this house. Will miss Dgs soo much but can have him for weekends, he is no trouble at all but his parents :eek::eek::eek:. And I get my craft room back, thus turning my bedroom into the sanctuary I long for - i had just finished decorating it when they descended on us and I had to empty the craft room into mineClearing the junk to travel light

well it took me while but my victory for the day was persuading DD1 that we needed another crop of runner beans and that the weather would be fine to get them going. ( i.m not sure if i.m right but we do need more beans) She let me plant them in her raised bed, hooray yumyum.
figers crossed

Last week I saved £1.26 on my weekly gas and elec. just by being careful. If I keep it up, that's approx £5 a month and £60 a year :j:j:j.0 -
I got my freezer and fridge cleaned out today, made a baked jam sponge for pud tonight and I also made custard from scratch, never managed to do it successfully before,it's always gone wrong so I'm feeling really pleased with myself as I was down to my last 2 eggs and didn't want to mess up. I'm going to try and make meringues with the whites I've never tried that before either and yet I love them0
