You know I said before that I had a really bad night with Belle last night being really moany and barking. I was really surprised and it seemed like a massive set back. It was made even worse this morning when I looked in her crate and she'd pooed in it. I was a bit gutted because she's never done that before.

Anyway, I was telling DH about it and he couldn't understand it either. Spent the day refocused on house training and she seemed to be doing well. At lunch time I asked DH to get me her bowl...I'd forgotten to take it out of her play pen. Anyway, he asked me what kibble I'd been feeding her. I was most confused because I haven't fed her any kibble...we don't have any, she's just been getting her meat and bones same as usual.

Anyway I went in to look in case she'd got hold of something she shouldn't. When I looked it wasn't kibble at all, but little Belle poo's. I told Andy and the colour drained from his face. When I asked what was wrong he said he was an awful dad and could probably explain why she had such a bad night last night.

When he put her to bed he noticed some "kibble" in her pen so threw that in with her!!!! Poor thing. He put her poo in her bed with her and locked her in with it!!! No wonder the poor thing was moaning all night. When I came down this morning poo was trampled into one side of the crate and all her bedding was shoved right over to the other side of the crate!!! She must have moved it all to stop it getting dirty!!!

Bad dad. I think he needs more practice with the poo bags clearly. It's really mean on Belle but I couldn't help but laugh...think I'll put her to bed tonight though! Better safe than sorry! Ha ha.

Twinklie, sorry but I couldn't help but laugh, at your DH not Belle. Bless her anyone would complain if they had poo in their bed:( At least you know why she was unhappy. My only advise if you ever have kids dont leave him alone with them:)

It was my DHs turn to get the routine wrong! He didn't put Boris out before bed and he'd already been asleep 1.5hrs so this morning he got up at 5.30 to complain and did poo's and wee's everywhere:( Men they are harder work that the pups:)

Ha ha ha as long it's not just my house where things have been going wrong. She had a much better night last night but didn't really want all of her breakfast this morning. I was a bit worried because when I gave her tea she didn't seem that interested....or so I thought! Turns out she'd already inhaled it by the time I got back from putting the kettle on!!

She's getting a bit nippy at the minute and has suddenly taken a great interest in feet!! So we are working on that. Particularly as she charged me when I was carrying a drink before!! I'm hoping we can take her out after tomorrow because my sanity levels are dropping rapidly with the amount of pent up energy she has. I can't cope. Ha ha.

Awww...poor pup is a bit constipated now. On the other hand...no more accidents. She's been happily taking herself outside to relieve herself! I'm a proud mummy. :D

Any tips for the constipation? I'll cut out bones for 24 hours and see what happens I think.

Soz no ideas on constipation as Boris is slightly loose and has been since we got him. He eats dried food given to me by the vet. Boris has been into feet for the last couple of days and its a pain, hes also nippy. Ive managed to stop him doing it to me with a quick sharpe 'no' but the kids cant get the hang of it and say it too soft like their talking to a baby, so they are getting chewed to bits. Today Boris ran at my DSs feet when he was playing football and DS landed on Boris's foot twice!, he yelped really loud and wouldnt put his foot down. I was so worried and was going to take him to the vets, but he appears fine now and is walking normally. Trouble is hes so small I nearly fall over him at least twice a day. Hopefully he might learn not to run at peoples feet.
Ive also got a confession, Ive started letting Boris on the sofa! Said I would never do it, but hes just so cuddly and he likes to sit next to me:) Have you given in on anything with Belle that you said you would never do?

I have to admit...I'd totally give in on the sofa thing BUT she's going to be an 8 stone plus monster and DH lives in a fully furnished rental while he's studying. We are allowed to keep a dog there but she's not allowed on the sofa. I don't want to confuse her so we are just teaching her that she's not allowed (I do find it a struggle when she looks at me with that little face though).

I don't think I have really given in to anything...not that springs to mind anyway. Oh no, I do know. When she wakes me up at 4.30 - 5.30 am I'll go back to sleep on the sofa rather than going back upstairs (I get up at 6 am in order to play with her - eventually walk her when she's allowed - make sure she toilets and to give breakfast). I think it's probably quite a bad idea because it can't be sending her the right message! But at that time in the morning going upstairs just to come back down seems silly (and to much effort).

Took pup to the vets tonight for her 2nd jab. Didn't quite realise that you weren't allowed to take her out for another 7-10 days after. Doh! I had visions of going for walkies tomorrow...bit gutted now. Still, she was very good despite being microchipped as well. I'm so proud of her.

She seems totally pooped now though. Although that could also be due to her getting up at 2.40 am because of a giant thunderstorm. :D

Boris isnt due to have his second injection until the 9th, I heard different vets recommend different amount of time before taking out so will see what mine says.

Boris is starting to settle down now, hes got the hang of going to bed and being left alone for short periods of time. Hes beginning to follow simple instructions like 'drop it' 'get down' and 'stop it' when chewing me and the kids:). The house training is getting better but we still have accidents and night time is usually get up good day after 6 bad day 5ish:( The only thing thats not so good is pooing and weeing in the night, he doesnt let me know he needs it and does it on the pads or the floor. I was thinking of giving it until hes fully house trained during the day (or 1.5 months) and if theres no improvement trying another plan.

Taking him to meet some other dogs today so he can get used to them, that should be fun!

Awww...jealous. I really want to take Amibel places - I missed the local puppy party..doh! However, the weekend after next is the village fair in the village DH lives in so we are going to take her to that....should be fun. We'll meet other dogs and people of all ages...but it shouldn't be so busy that it freaks her out. AND if it gets too much, we just walk down the street and take her home. :D

Well, we had a runny bum this morning. i can't decide if she's feeling a bit under the weather because of the jab and microchipping or if it's because I gave her a different meat. She normally has chicken or tripe mince....but I gave her beef. Just wondering if it's too rich for her or something. Either way she's not really into the whole idea of eating at the minute. So tea might have to go back in the fridge and become supper. She did eat breakfast and dinner today though so I'm not too concerned. Although she is on smaller portions because she's not getting through what she was.

I'll give it another couple of days and see how we go. I wish she'd stop trying to worry me though...naughty girl. Ha ha
