For my 21st I got a lovely silver designer watch, which I love and still wear alot of the time now.

We've just celebrated my sisters 21st, she got a Pandora bracelet and a Links of London bracelet off my Mum and Dad and our Grandparents, so everyone else in the family brought her charms/beads to put on the bracelet. However I wanted to give her a more memorable present so am taking her to see the stage show "Wicked" with dinner before hand! :)

Has...bluetooth headset, photo printer and new Sony laptop but doesn't take it anywhere so wouldn't use a bag ( I bought one a couple of years ago and the tags aren't even off it.) ipad/touch would be novely gadgets that would end up in a cupboard in a few weeks or his g/f would end up using. She's a lovely girl but it's not her I want to buy for. :D
iPads are brilliant - I use mine far more than I thought I would...

My parents took us all to Alton Towers for fri/sat. Overnight stay in the hotel, brekfast and early entry to the park.

    Best birthday ever! :D

I got a silver charm bracelet from my parents...not one of the best thought out gifts as I never wear bracelets and am allergic to silver (which they know). They then got exactly the same thing for my sister's 19th birthday. I never wore the bracelet, and have no idea what's happened to it...lost in a drawer somewhere.

To be fair, though, while they're awful with presents, they are great in other ways, so it evens out.

    I got a card.

Oh, and she waited until the end of the following week to mention that my dog had died. :(

For my daughter I bought her tickets to go to see her favourite band Muse at Wembley Arena. I ordered them the Christmas before. I also paid for champagne, cake and chocolates on the day.

For my son he had a flat screen tv which was a good present for him because his tv was very old and small, 14" screen and it kept cutting out and he was always kicking the thing. He also got steak and a birthday cake and chocolates.

    Does he have any hobbies?

(Just randomly thinking Mr S was repeating me a tale about one of his friends who is into fishing bragging about how he had bought x brand fishing rod -I didn't even know there was brand names in fishing stuff).

Just thinking this might be a route to go down.:)

BTW - For my 21st parents bought me a bangle, last Dec with it completely mis-shaped and no longer fitting I weighed it in with a load of other broken jewellery and out the proceeds towards this PC I am on. Was the only thing I had qualms about-not cos I'd ever wear it again but for my DD- but she does have other jewellery items to inherit from me- and I needed a new computer -lol.
