It's a cheap copy so quite clunky and designed for the 3G/3GS, but it does solve the battery changing issue. No doubt there will be similar products for the iPhone 4 and they should be a bit more streamlined!
Aye, there's a cludgy workaround to every problem I suppose. There's love in this world for everyone. Every rascal and son of a gun.

The simple answer is it is your money so you spend it how you wish, nobody has the right to tell you what you should buy, lets face it I change my phone on average every 9 to 12 months and whichever phone I pick it is not really going to be over £600 so who cares its not as if it's costing a fortune, it just happens this next change I shall try the iPhone, mainly because I have an iPod touch and my son wants to scrounge it so that way I get a touch at the size I need and a phone, I tried a friends desire for a week and hated it, my personal view so don't think you have any right to question it, whereas the iPhone is essentially a touch with a phone and I like the touch, again my personal view so don't think you have any right to question it. as for the batter problem there are several bits of kit around you can plug in and do 2 or 3 recharges for much cheaper than a new battery, these work on both phones and whilst using them. So let people make a choice based on what they see and read as listening to people try to bully others into getting what they have only has the opposite effect. Good example I would by any other phone than an HTC now because of the attitude of most users I have seen.Approach her; adore her. Behold her; worship her. Caress her; indulge her. Kiss her; pleasure her. Kneel to her; lavish her. Assert to her; let her guide you. Obey her as you know how; Surrender is so wonderful! For Caroline my Goddess.0

My advice... wait a bit until late summer for the new phones to come out before making a decision. Phones are like fashion.. they come n go. The iphone 3GS was already beaten not too long from launch.0
