Barnaby, Chester, Bruce, Christopher, Bryce, Woody, Rocco, Milo, Pablo, William, Wilbur, Luke, Toby, Kent, Liam, Noel, Noah, Josh, Micah, Matthew, Logan, Felix, Timothy, Zack.
Just to name a few!
Depends on your surname too... I love having the first initial and the last initial the same, think it sounds like a super-hero!0 -
Our DS is Rhys Alary. Rhys was the only name we both instantly agreed on right from the start, but Alary came from looking on a baby names website and it just jumped out at us. Never heard it before but loved it when we saw it
Other potentials were Connor, Casey, Corben, Caden/Cadan, Dylan, Tyler, Kady, Caleb, Tobias, Aiden/Aidan0 -
Isaac is fine as long as your surname isn't Hunt....
Make sure the letter of the surname when swopped don't make something that makes sense (like it's a cunning stunt!) There's a girl at my DD's school who is called Katy Hunt. The initials thing has already been mentioned.
See if the name rhymes with anything. See if it's an anagram of anything...
Also if you have seen the name on Oprah, Montel, Trisha etc and think it's cool then by all means go with it, but be aware everyone else on the estate will be thinking the same thing...:rotfl:
Marvin is a name that was off the radar till 'The Scheme' was shown (apologies for readers not in Scotland)
for boys especially make sure the shortened version of the name isn't another name for his 'bits' e.g. Richard, Robert, William, John Thomas....;)
Please please please choose something he can live with for the rest of his life without the people in Waitrose / Sainsbury's looking round when you shout it.( Asda doesn't work round here, their kids are called Epiphany-Ocean and Tranquility-Bluemoon anyway...:rotfl:)
I used to like Felix as a boy's name till the cat food came out.:o Oh, and Oscar was my cat's name, so nothing that you'd shout up the field when looking for a pet. No naming kids after your childhood pets either. The parents of Jack,Sam,Rover and Sheba, you know who you are)
Our name for a boy was Patrick David as hubby is the two names the other way round and so was my favourite grandpa. Just as well we had a girl cos in hindsight patrick without the 'at' isn't great, and then it would be shortened to pat, paddy etc. Also patrick from spongebob wasn't around then...
If you still can't find a name, then you could use the Beckham way and name him after where he was 'made' As long as you didn't get a £9 room in a Bognor Regis Travelodge a while back you'll be fine...
Good Luck!!
p.s. Why has no one mentioned Martin yet - none of us would be here without him!!:money:Member of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19

Have read through this thread with great interest! Am expecting a boy in a few months, and my 'baby' DS (who is now 15 months:D) was nameless for 6 or so weeks as we couldn't agree on a name!
My favourites were Brodie, Milo and Jonah. My older two DDs both have Irish first names, and I would have loved Brodie, but OH vetoed it (remember that scene from 'Friends' where Ross and Rachel keep vetoing each other's baby names?:)) It's actually DS's middle name though so got it in there anyway!
Milo I adored (it's the name of the singer from one of my favourite ever bands and have liked it for years) however I gather from my sister it's also the name of a powdered milk drink so no-one lets me forget it - oh and also it's the name of one of the Tweenies! Darn those!
Jonah I still love but all the men around me have effectively 'vetoed' it as saying apparently no-one would work with him on a building site!:rotfl: Was most miffed when some good friends chose it for their little boy a few months after DS was born LOL!
Interestingly the majority of the names mentioned as being nice but unusual are actually fairly popular, particularly where I am *shrugs*
The name we picked was to us an 'okay' name but picked for the sake of DS actually havig a name rather than being forever called 'infant of Jo_R' as he was on his hospital wristbands!Dealing with my debts!Currently overpaying Virgin cc -balance Jan 2010 @ 1985.65Now @ 703.63

I suggested this wonderful name that I'd never seen before to DH. Blame the pregnancy brain: we had one of them living with us; we had a friend with BOTH the names we chose (who felt very flattered, but I'd NEVER have chosen it on that basis); we knew two chaps of that name at church, an older and a younger; I actually have a COUSIN of that name!
My dad's family are rather uninventive with names - there are at least 3 men (or were) called William Charles.
My dad has a has brother and a cousin with the same name - the cousin is only 3 months older.
Mum has 2 half-brothers - one shares the same name as my dad and the other shares the same name as my dad's cousin - this can sometimes be slightly confusing at times.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

I heard a couple today when I was out. I saw an old friend and she gave me Keston, Eston, Cassius, Wade, Travis, Bede, Orsen, Channing and Wyatt. What do you lot think of these. I quite like Wade and Eston. Wade sounds like a cowboy but Eston sounds like a singer in a boy band.Loving this site.:beer:0
