At least this time it didn't cost anything to the OP.
Thankfully...
Otherwise we'd end up with yet another thread about
"started an expensive contract - got my new shiny toy - now realised can't afford it - not fair network won't let me out of contract" yada yada yada
Didn't mean to sound (too) harsh on OP...but personally, I always like to know all of the ins and outs / pro's and cons of anything - before making any sort of committment.0 -
goodybags are just packages. Calls/data/text. Some calls/texts are not included in your goodybag. I found this out when I tried to enter a text competition on the local radio station. If you feel this restricts you, you can top up your phone too but this is via giffgaff website only. I topped up before going abroad as my £10 pcm goodybag doesn't include international calls.
The payback thingy is if you post on the giffgaff forums and it helps other members or you answer a question on there. There is a star system and if you click onto it, the poster gets some points towards a payback. You have the choice of buying minutes (top up) or a goodybag or donating it to charity. I had the grand sum of £2.56 so donated it to charity. This time it was help for heroes.
My goodybag runs for a month and then I can either buy a new one on the day or buy one in advance that giffgaff activate when the old one expires. You can set your account to automatic top up if you slip below a threshold for minutes. I don't use this as I never reach my limit before the expiration of my goodybag.
Hope that helpsThe Cabbage

OP, you can use a o2 voucher http://support.giffgaff.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/561 in fact the answer's to most of your questions are
on the website, if you look.ANURADHA KOIRALA ??? go on throw it in google.0 -
Where does it say "o2 voucher"?
What I see everywhere is "giffgaff top-up voucher"...NOTE: You will also be able to use an O2 voucher to top up your giffgaff account. However please note you won't be able to call the O2 top-up number printed on it. Instead, you will need to call the giffgaff top-up number: 43430, or head online to My giffgaff instead to top-up your giffgaff account. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. I've been looking to GiffGaff for a while now but have a couple of questions.
Firstly, I have an iphone which uses a micro-sim, do GiffGaff supply micro-sims?
Secondly, at the minute they're offering unlimited internet, but presumably they could remove this offer at any time??0 -
Thanks for all your replies. Yes your right... thank god I never spent any money eh!! I was told about giffgaff from another thread, so just ordered the sim cos it sounded great.. too good to be true really haha... I will def look into it more before I go any further.
Hopefully this thread will help others tooHe who asks is a fool for five minutes, but he who does not ask remains a fool forever.

1. Guide to using an iPhone on giffgaff?
2. AFAIK, they don't offer it on PAYG and with the cheapest goodybag. Of course, they can change this - like any other network can change their tariffs.0 -
I ordered a free giffgaff sim and while I was using up my O2 credit I looked more into it and found it suited me well so made my first £10 top up. I then used some of that £10 credit to buy a £5 'goody bag'.
What I like is that now I have topped up I can ring 'freephone' numbers free for 3 months. I am registered for the cheap call company 1899 which I can make cheap phone calls with. My husband and a close friend is also now on Giffgaff so we can ring each other for free.DEBT FREE BY 60Starting Debt 21st August 2019 = £11,024

I've been with giffgaff for nearly 2 weeks now and it's great. They do offer micro sims, if you visit the giffgaff community you can order one there.
As far as I'm aware the unlimited internet has been in place for a while now, I can't see them changing it to a limited service or reducing the data but I suppose as is with any provider they are allowed to change their pricing/plans etc.
So far, really happy with giffgaff.0
