Hi all,
Sorry i have not been online, i havent had internet access.
Thank you everyone for you great advice, and ideas.
I just want to point out, to everyone that was saying to walk to CAB and how 'confused they were' that i hadnt done this - I am not long out of hospital and i am still struggling to walk around the house as it was a major operation. Healing well, and should be fine shortly. So, it was not out of lazyness etc that i didnt walk 3 miles, it was that at the moment it is physically demanding.
To update everyone, since last time i posted, i have posted an ad on freecycle and been foraging which has got us food in the short term and i am also scheduled for an appointment in my local CAB and jobcentre for a full benefits check and advice on low income as my Oh doesnt earn much.
Thanks again for everyones amazing generosity and support through this difficult time.

Hi hun,
would have been back sooner, but struggled to get out to get an internet connection at the library.
We are fine thanks, possibly stronger now than before after going through this.

Hope you can still get internet every now and again, cos this site helps lots of us get out of the money pit we find ourselves in, and I'd like you to be part of that, it's less lonely!
Anyhow, stay strong, and all the best

I notice you give your location as Glasgow. Have you tried Glasgow City Mission? If nothing else they may be aware of what is available locally. There's a Salvation Army in Glasgow west.Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants - Michael Pollan
