As a tactile, multi-coloured, post-it, highlighter and envelope stationery fiend (I'm not the Queen, I think that's Gally Girl) I'm standing back in admiration of your 31 little envelopes! Love those little dinky ones, one of the few things from a 70s childhood that you can now look back and think happy thoughts about!
Can't wait to hear if the system works out Ok for you! Keep us posted (envelopes, posted ... see what I did there?)
Was the big job confirmed on Tuesday for you? Autumn schedule taking shape?
Enjoy these last throes of summer sun (glad you have the coat now, just in case)! xStash busting 2014 45 / 60 (balls of yarn)!

I must admit that spotting the envelopes in the Pound Shop was a stellar moment. Plus I got two £10 notes when out shopping today so now I have nine envelopes to fill. I did no work today which means I must write the final version of this report tomorrow allowing me to mull it over on Sunday. How VERY lazy.
I did make up the shell and lining of dress two - looking pretty good I must say. I also packed away my summer clothes and got out the winter ones. I threw out all my black tights in the Spring because they were depressing me, now I am pondering exactly why I didn't just pack them away. Let's hope TK Maxx have some Wolfords in stock. Paid £11.00 off the mortgage today in celebration of not buying a skirt for £10.99 on the M&S end of summer sale.0 -

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Will be interested to hear how the envelope scheme works. I keep thinking about that kind of scheme.
Am ignoring the Christmas shopping for now. Will start in OctoberMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Nipped into TKs and bought five pairs of Wolfords. Not a NSD! Started packing large boxes to do a car boot next week-end. Unpacked six boxes of stuff from the flat, most of which has gone straight into the car boot boxes. Two loads of washing done and out on the line.0

Oh what a beautiful morning etc. Super September so far. I have picked tomatoes and runner beans and done all the dead heading and tidying in the garden. Now I am sewing together my new dress, report is about 75% done so I will finish that this afternoon. The builders/decorators will be in my flat for three/four days starting next Sunday they will also bring everything that is packed up to the house so the packing and sorting that remains must be done this week too. Nearly there in terms of being ready to be certificated for renting out. It is so much harder to sort everything out in the flat you live in!
The couple renting my buy to let have written asking if I will consider selling. Need to have a conversation with the accountant, that flat has gone up £85k in 18 months - mad, but I don't want to pay half in taxes so I need advice. I wouldn't mind just having one btl as things move forwards, it was always my pension plan to sell one at some point.0 -
Wish me luck folks today is the crunch meeting with the big bosses at the new job. I still have nothing official so it may all disappear but if it does I will definitely look for other interim roles.
I have the first quote for the rising damp work, it seems to involve rebuilding the entire gable end wall. I may need to sell a btl to pay for it, the cost is eye watering. Two more quotes to come and I have also decided to get a structural engineer to look at it as I don't know how serious the problem is, although even I can see that there is a major issue with crumbling and spalling bricks in the gable end wall. Goodness where is flat??? Eyewatering rise in value there.
Good luck with the bosses and hope the structural engineer can give you some insights. Like that idea, might be more sensible than builders some of whom are brilliant and some of whom in my experience are from another planetMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

The flat is in EAst Dulwich and I think my neighbours have just sold At the very peak of a mad summer market £330k for a flat that is the mirror image of my btl which I bought about two years ago for £215k. But almost all of the value has lumped on in the last year. As things are I may have to sell as I certainly don't have the money for house repairs on the scale of the first quote.0
