It has been a very wild and windy night and at about 3.00 I caved in and put the heating on low it is very cold. I am hoping I feel well enough to be back at work next week.......0

So feeling much more human I am going out to Waitrose for the first time since before Christmas (the freezers still have plenty in I need to stop food hoarding). I am looking forward to some fresh fruit and veg, the only things that are all but gone in the stores and freezer are fruit and veg.
No money earned this month, and luckily little spent. After long discussions with the accountant I have decided to take my pension in May, my battles with the new civil service providor are likely to become legion, yesterday they kept insisting that I was still employed in the civil service despite my leaving in October. If I wasn't on a diet I would have been on the gin.0 -
The MOST glorious winter's day and I feel much better so I am off for a short walk in the Peak district. Not much money spent I am back to work tomorrow. Off to find somewhere to go to learn not to be afraid of driving!0

Enjoy the sun. It's glorious at the moment - blinking cold but beautiful.
Glad to read you're feeling better.

When you find somewhere that stops you worrying about driving please let me know. My DS passed his test first time but will not drive. I have been insuring him on my car for years on and off. In the last 15 years he has driven max 6 miles - he is actually a good driver but no-one seems to be able to persuade him of that. I guess I will be driving him in to work in my 90s!0
