June 2010, 80 payments to go............

OK so New Year means new goals, or re-visiting old ones and actually doing something about them!
My seven things for this year are:
Sort out the driving phobia and get a car.
Lose 52 lbs.
Pay £12k off the mortgages.
Employ a cleaner.
See friends on week-ends away at least 10 times.
Have at least two holidays.
Make at least 12 garments.
That will do although on things to do I need to think a bit more about things I am going to NOT do.0 -
Very, very small studio apartment I'm afraid . No room to swing a cat let along an MSE'er
.
Seriously, you are all more than welcome (might as well say that as Tilly's coming anyway whether she's invited or not :rotfl:).
I just thought if pitch up at the airport with an :money: flag you'd find me :T

Always good to have a role model Tilly. First day of 2015, and I still have a cold but I am winning on the house sorting out so I will continue. I need a better financial plan for next year.........0

I love your goals for 2015. For me, many of them would be very challenging, like the losing weight and the making the garments, so I have the greatest of respect for you:)

2015 has already delivered the noro virus so I am thinking that this year's illness is over and done with.
I am going to try Slimming World, first meeting on Thursday evening or Saturday morning.
I have set up my office downstairs in the dining room, much lighter, calmer and a better working atmosphere.
I am waiting for my December invoice to be paid and then I can put 2k into the off set ready to pay my taxes in March.
I am still not clear when I can start hammering down my mortgage, I will have enough put by for tax by March so maybe I can gear up for April?
I am still unpacking boxes but I can see a faint flickering light at the end of that very long tunnel.
But the best thing of all? I didn't have to get on the 8.47 train to London last night for which I am very grateful.0 -

Hope you're on the mend and :j to no 8.47 train. Personally I'll be setting the alarm clock for 5.45 when I retire just so I can switch it off and turn over.

We're sleeping like logs at the moment, I don't think the alarm would wake us!:rotfl: But I have to admit I'm looking forward to the first snowy morning, and not having to go out
Hope you are starting to feel better, TootallulahEarly retired - 18th December 2014

OK I am doing the daily stalk of my bank account to really understand what monies go out when. I don't understand why I find it easier to understand when seen daily rather than over the month but I do so that is that. I "think" everything gets paid in the first half of the month, if I tie it down properly I can work out my mortgage overpayments more easily. Back to the doctors as the cough is still very bad and I feel about 100. I would like to go to the sun for a week, looking at the Canaries in a hopeful manner.0
