Very bad cold now diagnosed as pleurisy with accompanying anti-biotics and steroids. Upside? 3 NSDs this week as have been tucked up at home.
I am going to press the reset button and start 2015 next week when hopefully I will feel much better.

Really need my invoice to be paid so I can tuck away the final amount for my tax bill which will then mean I can start paying off a bit more mortgage.

Hope you feel better soon. You never really hear of people having pleurisy but my boss had it this summer and was out for nearly 6 weeks with chest infection then pleurisy. I hope you have someone who can help bring supplies etc.

Still stuck indoors but feeling MUCH better, the drugs do work. Eating through the copious supplies in the freezer I seem to be making very little difference on how much food is in there. 4th NSD in a row, definite record. I will be off work next week but am hoping I will be up and running from the 19th. I have lost a fence panel in the high winds but everything else seems OK.

Ooops sorry for the self obsession, thank-you for your get well wishes. I think I should be ready for the New Year Party round about 1 February.

OK there are 20 weeks until the end of May so rather than waste these ill days I have joined Weight watchers on line today to start with my aim of losing 40lbs in the next 20 weeks. I know that WW works for me but I am also lacking in determination so I need to be ON IT. There is a quidco deal that is worth having.

Otherwise today I will clean my bedrooms in spurts as I am still not very lively on the other hand I am stuck at home so I might as well get on with things. Luckily I do have a freezer full of the healthy stuff I just need to actually eat it.

I have just prepared a pomegranate in celebration.

Sorry to read you have pleurisy - had it last year and it was dreadful - rest :) And more rest :)
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

Hiya Watty yes I am still at home and I have no energy to do anything, it is so frustrating, on the other hand I felt so ill and now I don't feel too bad just knackered.

Still haven't spent anything and I am hoping that the sun gets out a bit today and I can get some fresh air. January is turning into a just nothing month, no salary, no spending, no energy!

Still at home and not up to much. Which has meant that I have spent a lot of time with the calculator sorting out my pension etc, this has been good planning. And yesterday I spent time working out my taxes properly. The bad news is that I haven't put enough aside for my taxes and I haven't earned anything this month which would have helped. So I need to be very frugal in February and March otherwise I will be raiding my meagre savings. I think it is time for doing some dreaded EBaying. Not doing well on the mortgage paying I really do need to get my act in gear.
