Morning all, nice to see the visitors. I did "sort of" retire always meaning to do consultancy. I have done three lots of consultancy and have now been offered a part time role for at least a year and probably eighteen months. Life is good, I am enjoying these summer mornings of sunny weather. Greenhouse delivered this morning at some point. Just moved £3.67 to the mortgage.0

:T glad it's going so well Toots :TA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

This has been a very spendy week - bedding plants, patio cleaner, new iron a greenhouse and whilst all is paid for from saving I now have no savings beyond a small emergency fund. I ttd over £3.12 yesterday. I have two builders coming round to quote on the work on my flat next |friday. Much more spends to come but I must get that flat rented out otherwise the financial pack of cards will finally collapse. Just decided not to go on holiday in September, I cant afford it and I need the time to sort out everything before starting my new job. This is a good thing as it gives me time to save for a more interesting holiday in January.0

Shame about September hols but sounds like a wise choice. With luck we'll get an Indian Summer in which you can max out the enjoyment of your garden then when it's all drab and pants around here in January, you can jet off to somewhere lovely!
Good luck with the other building work ... I guess with the flats and the house it must seem pretty never-ending!
Have a good weekend xStash busting 2014 45 / 60 (balls of yarn)!

I have friends coming for lunch so was up cleaning at 6.30, much of the garden seems to have transferred itself into the house...........Still the sun is out and this morning I moved over £50.00, my budget will allow it and I don't like not making proper overpayments.0

Well done on the early start with the cleaning ... our dogs bring the garden indoors all the time (something to be aware of even more if you get your greyhound)!
Have a happy lunch ... hopefully the sun will shine and you'll all get to spend a bit of time in the new look garden anyway!
Have you got the space / seating / table etc to eat out there if you want to (not on the lovely new driveway in view of the neighbours of course) but somewhere you can enjoy a little al fresco dining?Stash busting 2014 45 / 60 (balls of yarn)!

Yes I now have a lovely private terrace and have carried out my kitchen table to eat outside! I should have guests more often the house looks lovely. I have just picked my first sweet peas of the year they are so pretty. I am expecting the next lot of boxes from my flat next week........it will be a good job when everything is moved.0

Sold three dresses on Ebay: £13.57 into PayPal this morning, shoogled straight off the mortgage, and even better the parcel is already posted. All would be very good if I was not lusting after a wonderful shop fitting cabinet on Drew Pritchard's website. Sadly all monies are depleted so I can't buy it. Mind I did do a bit of measuring in case it is still there in September!0

This feels to be a very long month and it is still two weeks until payday. Hmmmmmmm. I am working at home tomorrow and Monday and will be spending the week-end with guests, or maybe not it seems to depend on flights etc - complicated. No paying off for the last two days and it is so hot in London I am longing to go home for the calmer cooler climes. On a more positive note I have booked a removal van to take my last bits from here ready for the builders and decorators to move in. at the end of August. I have potential tenants through work which has always been better for me so fingers crossed that will work.0

5 things on EBay, the boredom. It is very sticky weather but so far we haven't had any storms. I have picked the very few broad beans that I have grown t have with some salady dinner later tonight. No overpayments, actually no money I am in economising mode - I find that no cash has that effect!0
