I have bought vegetables, milk, 12 jars of M&S coffee (half price and that is a years worth purchased), pasta and an M&S £10 meal deal. £53 spent. But more importantly the list:
Hall, hoover floor, scrub floor and reseal
Bathroom, clean, hoover floor, scrub floor, reseal
Bedroom, tidy, hoover, change bed, clean window, change summer clothes for winter clothes, ditto shoes
Kitchen, hoover floor, scrub floor and reseal, clean surfaces, clean sink, clean cupboard doors,
Living room, tidy, hoover, clean windows, dust
Do washing
Do ironing
It's a very long list for a very small flat.0 -
New improved list
Hall, hoover floor, scrub floor and reseal
Bathroom, clean, hoover floor, scrub floor, reseal
Kitchen, hoover floor, scrub floor and reseal, clean surfaces, clean sink, clean cupboard doors,
Living room, tidy, hoover, clean windows, dust
Do ironing
It took me all day to do the bedroom and the washing, goodness me this flat is an embarrassing mess. I am also taking my remaining tomatoes that have been ripening on the window sill and making roast tomato soup which will cover a few lunches over the next couple of weeks and I am cooking roast pork for Sunday lunch.
I do need to get to the end of this list as I think a more ordered home will make difficult the times ahead at work less stressful. And to pay off the mortgage needs a better concentration on where I want to get to rather than scrabbling around to be on top of things. Money shortages means that September is going to carry on in this quiet mode but it is OK I am getting stuff done.0 -
Good luck & here's to a tidy & stress free future :jA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Hi SmiSave , I think that it was a good, if rather dull, week-end and joy, of joy the flat is all done except resealing the floors which I will do next week-end. I have no curtains in the living room which is my next thing to tackle but that will be next month after I get paid. I have a modern flat so my plan is to have American shutters the windows are double glazed so I don't need curtains for warmth.0

Coffee £2, doing well on the spending (or not). Meal plan still working, who knew?0

Coffee £2. I've been thinking a bit about this site and the relationship that we diary people have with other posters and the site itself. Me, I love MSE am really in awe of some of the people who post. I stand and silently ra ra for Hypno, Taxi, BenBen, Memory girl and loads of others. They are inspirational women and I now more about them in some ways than people I see in real life everyday. They meal plan, and ebay, manage families and work, plan futures and achieve and I read and admire. My problem is that I don't actually do any of it myself and that is why I still have a massive mortgage and a 0% debt that I am ignoring. But because I am increasing my mortgage I am having to cut back and who knew everything the real MSEers say and do works. I've been meal planning for two weeks, who knew if you do it you only spend what you need to spend at the shops. It really works. Well obviously it does because they pay off their debts. I am now thinking what I will take of their advice and do next...............SOA perhaps?0

Meal planning is a revelation, I feel quite lost without one now (like this week!).
There are some incredible people here, and that is why I am slightly addicted to this site - is like free life coaching :rotfl:!
I have half drafted an SOA but need to check some paperwork here before posting... which I hope to do this weekend. If you post yours, I'll post mine!Mortgage [STRIKE]16/03/2011: £190K 01/01/2017: £107,729.65 [/STRIKE] 01/07/2017: £95,979.89
