Ooh - hope the packing goes well
We don't have a Waitrose in GloucesterThere's one in Stroud and one in Cheltenham (towns either side of us) - probably a good thing - I'd be in there a lot more if it was local! Yum
(Although I do succumb to their deliveries instead if I need a 'fix' and haven't been - but it's not quite the same...)

coffee £2, 4 whole meal rolls £1.04 (but only bought those despite being in Waitrose-result).
Well due to the joys of working in London I'm up and ready and about to leave for work on a tube strike day. It may turn out to be a bit meaningless but it's hard to tell until later in the day and I can get to work by bus but I need to get off early to do it. Paid the builders the first £5k yesterday as a deposit for materials.
My stuff goes into store on Friday and then all systems are go I am excited and apprehensive. Living full time in London for the next three months will also be interesting and probably help me decide where I really want to be.0 -
Also my signature will now start to go in the wrong direction which I will HATE. All this year's payments will be wiped out in the next four weeks........And much more besides. It is worth it but I must make sure that I don't go mad and that I have a mortgage of no more that £170k by Christmas. Then it will be on to a new challenge with a new date my aim will be to be mortgage free in 100 months.0

Hello Toots! I can understand your anxiousness about the mortgage, but think how nice it'll be once the builders are done!!

Coffee £2. The tube strike was real and it took a long time to get to work as the traffic was appalling (first week back for schools round here). Board meeting today and a visit from some MPs tomorrow, then I've got Friday off for the removal men in the north followed by them delivering a pile of stuff to London at 7 a m on Saturday, eek.
On the week-end I am going to set a number of challenges so that I don't just spend the next twelve weeks shelling out money and loafing. This flat will be de-cluttered and pristine in every way. Once that's sorted it can go on the market in the spring and I will see what life holds after that.0 -
Coffee £2, I needed milk but the queue in Waitrose was horrific so I left with nothing, the equivalent of visiting your dealer and deciding to "Just Say No". Long day at work today but it's but over now, one more day until everything in my house goes into storage and the builders move in. I don't want to wish life away but this autumn is dreadfully busy at work and home and it will be good when September is over.0

Coffee .£2 OK on my way to the north to meet the storage guys tomorrow. Oh it is exciting, Looking forward to it and to everything being ready for the builders. I need sone sort of window covering at my flat in london. I could make curtains.0

Yesterday was quite tough going I had a lot of stuff to pack, too much stuff. I am very fortunate I had a lot of help especially from a friends two children 18 &19 who were brilliant and I have booked them to come back for the unpack (with both of them giving the caveat "unless we get a proper job"). They both have A levels but don't want to go to UNi and are looking for work, it's not a great time for non-academic but hard working teens, is it?
I am now in London waiting for the removal people to bring stuff from the north for my flat. Lots of storage and book shelves so I can definitely be part of the MG challenge to sort out your life starting with your home. Once I am fully de-cluttered and straight here (by the end of September) I am having a cleaner and that will be my luxury paid for partly by giving up buying a daily Cafe Nero coffee. I will be like someone coming off smack so October may be a bit ranty!
One great thing is that having spent the day in my house yesterday I am sure that doing it up is the right decision and that finishing that before I decide what to do about this flat is also the right thing to do. My brother is managing all the work for me and that is a relief too. All good folks, except for the spending!0
