I DID IT!!!!!!!!! :j:j:j
I kept my walk at 4.8, but lowered jog to 6.4 and I completed the whole session! I was very glad when she said there was only one more to go! 8 minutes jogging, and I am so pleased with myself!!
Sunday, Tues, Thurs are going to be run days. I think because I am so out of shape, I will do each week for two weeks... at least for the start anyway... ease myself in.
Thank you for your support

Way to go Claire!
It's a great feeling when you complete a run isn't it?;) I did week 6 run 2 this morning and right from the beginning I felt like I struggled. I got out of bed ten minutes late, little things like that really bother me and although I felt fine running, all I kept thinking about was wanting to walk. lol I just was in a grumpy mood and to run at two ten minute runs it felt hard. I will go on to run three come Friday, but if I don't feel happy about it I will repeat week six again if need be.

It's funny, cuz I'm struggling with Week 6. And, like you, if things aren't going right when I hit the gym, it's a battle. Someone keeps turning off the aircon overnight, so when I start on the treadmill at 6am it's too humid and I'm grumpy and struggling...:o And then the music changes to 'It's Getting Hot in Here' and I'm so done!:mad:Good, clean fun....MFW #11 2015 £7657 / £88800 -
Well I thought I would drag this thread back up and see how everyone is doing!
I have now completed Week 7! I wish I could say I find it extremely easy but I don't yet as my brain keeps telling me to walk when I know I feel fine and ignore it and keep running. lol It's all those years of being sedentary! lol

I will have been doing this for 3 weeks now.
I am on my second week of wk2.
I am doing each week for 2 weeks as I am so unfit. I must say it is slowly getting easier. Although I am dreading jumping up to the 3 mins for wk 3.
My legs are looking more toned, and I have lost 4 lb so far. Long way to go, but I am so pleased with myslef for sticking at it!
Just wanted to pop in and see how others are doing as well?0 -
Hi Claireabell, was wondering how you were getting on. Good for you for sticking to it as well!
I remember being worried about running those three minute times as well and it honestly won't take you long to get used to it I promise. I always feel a great sense of achivement after doing a run too especially in the beginning because in essence you should feel that way because you are doing something about your life to make you healthier, so good on you for keeping it up!
As for me tomorrow I start Week 9 Run 1 and will be running for thirty minutes. Roll on tomorrow!0 -
