Evening All. I hope everyone is having a lovely bank holiday weekend.
Hello to those joining (or joining again).
I'm going out tomorrow morning having had a lovely relaxing weekend. Just charging my ipod ready for the second 28 minute run  Really hope my hip doesn't hurt as much after this one.
I hope I haven't lost any endurance as I haven't run since last Monday but did Body Attack instead (seem to have misplaced my gym key so have to either run outside or do classes - I'll get hubbie on the case. He's great at finding stuff I've lost). How long til pay day?

Wasn't able to run over the weekend as pull something in my calf so OH suggested I rested it. So me being a good girl I did as I was told
So as it was feeling a little better this morning I went out for run 2 of week 8. I was worried that a 5 day rest would mean I would have to stop at 25 but I managed to keep going :j
So as long as I can still walk tomorrow and my leg is not dead I hope to finish week 8 on Thursday.
Well done to everyone who is starting out or getting back out againRestarting C25K in 2014 - Week 8 - 1/3 completed

Well done :T
I went out last night and did week 1, run 3. I might do this an extra couple of times before moving on as still really feeling it on the last two jogs (although it doesn't help that they are uphill on my route!)

Hey
My knee feels ok today so I am going to try to go for a gentle jog this evening.
however, it's been a good few weeks since I did my last run - will I be ok to do wk 2 run 3 or should I start week 2 again or something???
Any advice??
EDIT - Did wk2 run 3 but might do it again before I go onto wk3 as wk3 sounds a lot more difficult. Shins and knees weren't bad, and i enjoyed getting out into the sunshine!Betty B: The Eternal Procrastinator....

Finished week 8 :j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j
OMG it was so hard though as my mp3 player went flat 6 mins into run so I had to complete the run with no music or keep going voice telling me how much longer you have to go etc.... I almost thought about giving up but decided to just keep going as I wanted to feel the achievement at the end. Luckily I had my HRM on so I had a watch to time my run and cool down walk :rotfl:
So over the weekend I hope to get out again to maybe re-do the 28 min again or I may just start week 9 I will have to see how I feel.

wk 8's not going well, infact this is ment to be my wk 9 but I hurt my thigh, so I've been taking it a bit easy.
Went out this morning and didi 20 mins which didn't feel to bad.
I Will get there, I will I will I will.

Evening All.
Silkstrut - glad its not just me who's had a crap week 8 (also supposed to be week 9). Ran week 8 run 2 on Monday. Then on Thursday went to run again and was so tired at the 20 minute mark I had to stop. OH suggested I was tired from Body Attck the night before but I've run 25 minutes before with no problem the day after. Oh well, will hopefully finish week 8 on Sunday.
Although generally feeling quite pi**ed off tonight and quite frankly could jack it all in.Just one of those crappy days - think I got up on the wrong side of the bed.

Dragonlily - Uphill on the way home. I bet you get glad to finish that. Well done for that though!
Betty _ I repeated some runs along the way. Sometimes it can just feel too daunting to move on to the next week. How long til pay day?

Sorry to hear it was a tough one. Still week 8, I can't wait to be that far along
I did a fourth Week 1 last night and was really slow but I think it was because it was so humid. A storm hit just after I got back. It was a bit disheartening though because it was the toughest attempt yet and I was hoping that with practice it would be a bit easier by attempt 4 LOL. I think I will do another week 1 and then move onto week 2 x0 -
I havnt been out this week due to work and rain! Hopefully it will brighten up and I can get out over the weekend and next week too!Total DebtWas £4145.81now £0.000

Morning!
Well, I was inspired by all the Sheffield Half Marathon runners that were out this morning when I droppped OH in to work that I went straight down to the gym. Week 8, run 3 has had its ar*e kicked.(Can you tell I'm on the post-gym high still?!).
I might do another week 8 due to the first one being interrupted by children in the park. Tuesday will be my next run.
Dragonlily - you'll get there. I promise. I never in a million years thought I could, but I did/have.
Hoopy - Yes, rain is very annoying when you are trying to run outside. I hope it clears up and you can get out this week.
Now off to get myself a well deserved cup of coffee. (Been on a bit of a detox this week so didn't have any coffee. Don't get me wrong, not addicted to ths stuff but a Sunday morning just isn't right without a coffee). How long til pay day?
