completed week 1!! I am a bit proud of myself to be honest
never thought i'd have the guts to get started, and now i'm really enjoying it.
I've worked out a lovely route that involves going through a park, past a lake with swans and ducks, and along the seafront!! Love it
looking forward to week 2, but scared it's going to get harder!
But doing run 3 of week 1 I was amazed that I wasn't getting tired during the running parts and I was actually surprised when she said to stop!
thanks everyone for giving me a push and getting me out there, esp alliwant who is SO supportive
PS - the 'purse' I use is a freebie make up bag from Boots, perfect hand-sized and fits my keys, ipod and phone perfectly!:money:Betty B: The Eternal Procrastinator....

I haven't done any of the "proper c25k" trainng...I've just been going to a certain point & see how I go...went on the mill on Tuesday & did 6K:eek::j in 40 mins...well chuffed & yesterday I went for a run at 10am...it was warm....infact I was boiling..and did 3 miles NON - STOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am MEGA chuffed:D:D:D & did it in 30mins...very happy with 1 mile per 10 mins. The 1st mile is always difficult but once you get past that the adrenalin kicks in & off I go!
Well done all of you for doing so well! xxx0 -
Wk 6 run 1 DONE
If you'd have told me 3 months a go I'd be doing this, I'd have :rotfl:
I've just got my RFL pack, I'm really doing it. :j
Keep going everyoneSmile make them wonder0 -

AWESOME! It can only get better from here!! :T
Silkstrut - I got mine the other week too. Tis quite disconcerting at first but then in the gym when I'm about to pass out I think about the reason I'm killing myself!
Crumble - you'd better be right! I'm doing the 25 minute one tomorrow so I'll let you know. Thanks for that though. Very encouraging. How long til pay day?

thanks Trying really hard
And thanks and well done to everyone else!
the sun was shining again today and I did wk2 run 1 - wasn't as hard as I was expecting, but I do have trouble regulating my breathing, tend to breathe in for two and out for two, so when 'laura' suggested counting to four i got all muddled up and ended up gasping for air! I think I must have tiny rubbish lungs!
Oh and by the way, strangely I love the lift music on the podcasts! (even though i'm usually a punk rock girl!)
it always makes me chuckle cos there are some very obvious 'covers' of popular songs in there!Betty B: The Eternal Procrastinator....

I got my RFL pack too  as you said if 3 months ago I'd thought I'd run for 20 mins non stop I would have just said "yeah right" but I've done it :j:
So week 5 Run 3 completed this morning :j: I ran the full 20 minutes and have to admit I was a little emotional when I finished as I never thought I'd do itSo on to week 6 with a smile on my face and a sponsorship form that needs filling
How did the 25 min run go trying??Restarting C25K in 2014 - Week 8 - 1/3 completed
Need to loose 25lb / 3lb lost so far0 -
The 25 minute run has been DONE!!! :j
Woohoo. Quite chuffed with myself now as I never ever thought I'd stick to this for this length of time (I'm a "really enthusiastic about something for a week then give up cos I've been distracted by something shiny" kind of girl).
However, hip is bit clicky and twingey (going to google ways to stop this). Having a rest tomorrow from running as its body attack. Also need a rest as I bought some new "running" earphones which loop round your ears and they are the MOST annoying thing in the world as my ears are too small for them. I am now trying to find some proper round your head ones like I had in the 80's.I swore out loud whilst running as they fell out for the millionth time. Therefore, running can't be done without music, hence shopping on my lunch break tomorrow. (shame!)
Thanks Crumble for the encouragement and well done to Alliwant and Betty.
Betty I'm a metal/punk chick so this whole dance music style stuff goes right over my head usually! How long til pay day?

betty - I'm jealous you have the sea as a view.... don't worry what other people think or what you think other people might think. I had the 'what if people see me' problem and then I thought I don't care what people think I'm doing it for myself. Smile, say hello...
trying - well done on the 25 minutes!:T
I went for a walk instead of a run as I'm trying to find a nice route that's 5k. The path I run on is 4k so I'm a little bit short unless I do a U turn in the middle. Hoping to do a run tomorrow as long as the weather is nice.0
