  • Week 4 run 1 done today :j That is quite a jump from week 3  but I managed it

I almost fell at one stage as the strange music confused my pace and I ended up almost doing double time and lost my balance. I just hope no one was looking :o Will try to just keep a steady beat in my head next time so I don't do the same thing again.

Well done to everyone you are keeping me inspired to carry on and not give up :T

Finally got out again today after not having run the whole week - my big 20 mins took it out of me!!! Did Week 6, Run 1, was nice to go back to intervals, think I would have struggled again with a long run, but do have that to look forward too again :D

Was a bit of a push throughout, but my route seems to be getting longer, so i must be improving :) I wasn't out of breath at the end either, which was nice for a change, but obviously meant I didn't "push" in the last five minutes like the podcast said to ;)

TRH did you manage the 20 mins? I'm still riding my wave of glory ;)

I can say that I have just got home from the gym having done the 20 minute run. Week 5, run 3 is well and truly done (please no one mention the 25 minute next week!). Actually, it wasn't as bad as I was expecting. It was over a little quicker than expected. I cover the treadmill clock with a towel and was surprised when the beeps came. :D

I can't wait to tell me other half when I pick him up from work as even he didn't think I could do it. He didn't actually say that but the "You know you can always take a break in the middle" wasn't exactly the "You can do it!" I was hoping for. Men. :p

Sarsief - i'm right behind you now. Week 6 for me will start on Tuesday.

Alliwantistosave and SIlkstrut - well done!

Welcome to everyone else. :j This thread is starting to get busier.

Did week 6 run 3 this morning followed by a session of bodypump. Tired now but still got to walk the dog, may need a nap first.
Never let your sucesses go to your head and never let your failures go to your heart.
  • Got up early to do week 4 run 2 this morning and had the same problem with the same music again! The beat is totally wrong and I can't seem to get into a rhythm which at the start of the 2nd 5 min run is really annoying  So in the end I had to turn the volume off for a while until the track changed. Oh well only have to do it once more :D

I can't believe your OH comments Trying really hard hope he ate his words when you told him ;) I am a little worried now that I have read your post and realised I am not that far from that 20 min run myself now  But I will try not to think about it for now.......

Hehe - Yes. He ate his words. :D

Haven't been to the gym yet this week. Very remiss of me. I'm going tomorrow though for a run.

At this rate, I'll be looking at Sunday for the 25 minute run!

Well done Alliwant, Silkstrut, Skintlass and anyone else I have missed through being rather blind (started wearing contact lenses and managed to poke myself in the eye whilst taking them out so I'm a bit blurry).
