Over to you sarsief - I've done mine:D
Great work crumblepie! Ok, no excuses, i'll do mine Saturday morning.
Did quite well on week 2 (2 x 8 mins) so feeling a bit more confident, will just slow it right down.
Now exhausted as ran round all around london in heels for an interview this morning, then locked myself out of my house! - fingers crossed that it was worth it!Couch to 5K Running 2009/2010/2011

Wow - everyone has done so well this week! Apart from me
I've had no motivation at all and have eaten my way through god knows how many calories. Just don't know what's been wrong with me.
Other half is out tomorrow so I'm hoping to get down to the gym (if I can leave bang on 5) and get to Body Attack and then a run. I find I don't pig out when I've been to the gym.
Flissh and Sarsief - thanks for the words of encouragement. I'll give it a go tomorrow.
I've got a nice cous cous salad for dinner and will NOT take my purse to work. The coffee shop downstairs is evil. How long til pay day?

Did week 3 run 1 today and managed to go the 3 minutes without slowing which was a big surprise to me. Have to admit I did not look in advance to see what week 3 was so when she said 3 minutes I thought oh B*gger
Roll on sunday for run 2 (I can't believe I am enjoying this so much)
I even had to go and buy so new running pants today as my others keep falling down. Not a good look beetroot faced with a builders bottom :rotfl:Restarting C25K in 2014 - Week 8 - 1/3 completed

Ohhh I haven't been here before!:hello:
I took up running a few yrs ago in anticipation of a 5k run...never materialised! Started last year but with 3 kids time was limited. Now youngest in is school for 2 hours every morning I have free time!:j Now I fancy a 10K run mext May (cos my cousin is doing one this year I fancy joining next time) I don't time myself but use the place around me as bench marks. Been for a 3 mile run twice this week. I use Run Keeper to log my runs & plot on maps hence I know how much I run. its 1.5 miles each way 7 I stop to walk 1 min on both legs. Great going if I say so myslef! I've very chuffed I can do it in 30 mins. I did go to the gym & found I could easily do 5k on a mill in 30 mins. Now the weather is much nicer I go out & spend my cash on a circuit training class!
Well done all of you for doing so well!!0 -
I did it! Got out this morning nice and early and got through the 20 mins - went faster than I expected too also, which was a bonus!
I thought I ran at a fast walking pace, but I was passing quite a few people on the streets, so must be running faster than I'm aware (i usually don't see many people going the same way as me during the week).
Feeling good after it and hoping intervals at the start of week 6 again will be nice and easy next weekAlthough my face is still beetroot red an hour later!!!!
Thanks to everyone for their encouragement, I'm super proud of myself!
So now some study and then off for a seafood feast reward!
Good luck to everyone for their weekend runsCouch to 5K Running 2009/2010/2011

My face goes a lovely beetroot colour too, but I'm enjoying the running so I don't mind, other people may look at me a tad strange though.0 -

I managed week 3 run 2 today but managed is the right word as got a cramp during the 2nd 3 min run but made myself run through it. Not sure is that was a good or bad thing to do? but calves feel a little tight this evening.Restarting C25K in 2014 - Week 8 - 1/3 completed

People have been doing so well on here. I did week 6 run 2 again on Saturday - I didn't want to go out and even had to charge up my ipod just before the run but I'm glad I did. Now if I can get some decent sleep this week I may make another run Thursday morning. Keep going peeps.Never let your sucesses go to your head and never let your failures go to your heart.:beer:0

Hi all
I am new to the c25k (alliwant introduced me to it!) and just wanted to ask, what do you do if you are shy/nervous?
I did a test run a couple of weeks or so ago, just to see if the c25k plan is for me. It was at the weekend and I just ran round my block.
Now I really want to get out and run in the sunshine, but there are builders on my block all week every week, and lots of school near me. To be honest, I dont want anyone to see me running!
I have mapped out a route near a park and it is about 30 mins walk in total so should be fine to do with wk 1 run 1 as a 25 min session - but I am scared of people seeing me in the street!
Also, interested in what you take with you - does everyone take an ipod, phone , keys and bottle of water?!! not sure how to carry it all with me!!
thanks for your help everyone!Betty B: The Eternal Procrastinator....
