I got out this morning for my 2nd run and it did seem a little easier although i was still beetroot red by the end of it. Also can i ask is it normal to feel queasy afterwards?

Havn't run for more than a week, had a cold then a hangover:o so was feeling a bit doubtful I would manage much today but....:T:T:T I have done it I have done run 3 week 9. The first third was a bit tough but after that I got in to it.
I can't believe I have finished the program. I am going to keep running to the week nine music for a while as I have come to like it :eek::D And I can't be faffed to make a playlist, not sure if I know how to get the tempo right.
I played badminton with my daughter a few days ago and noticed my stamina has improved a lot, think that is due to the c25k.
Keep going everyone, if I can do it anyone can:j:j0 -

Well done flissh :T:j:T That is a great achievement and I hope in the future to finish myself.
Can report I have just returned from week 1 run 3 but had a little hitch. Went out and did about 30% then my new mp3 player went flat  I was not impressedso walked back home and grabbed my old player and went out and started again  So I managed to effectively run for 10 mins (Ok not consecutively but it was still 10 mins) :j Roll on Thursday for week 2
Restarting C25K in 2014 - Week 8 - 1/3 completed

Thanks guys:D
alliwant, well done for not being beaten by technology!! I had my ipod freeze on me a few times and it is so frustrating.
Anyone else use nike+ ? I have used it since about week 5 and it has helped. a sensor goes in your shoe and a bit plugs in your ipod then you can link to the nike+ website and look at stats of your runs, I've got most of my runs logged on there and feel a sense of achievement when I look at them.0 -
Hello again all.... I have been here twice before, and I still haven't run the 5k!
Two years ago I started the challenge, and then due to various reasons stopped (had a minor operation, nothing serious).
Last year did much better, and was running all the way into October, when we embarked on our first IVF cycle, at which point I stopped as it was advised to me not to do too much. I manages the 20-25 min continuous run at that stage, I have lost about 9kg in that year (from 87.8kg to 78.5kg at the lowest point), lost couple of dress sizes, and was feeling great.
Now, after unsuccessful cycle I didn't manage to get back into it straight away. In the meantime, we bought the house, and i am working like crazy to get some works finished before Easter, so no rest for me (removing wallpaper, painting, changing sockets, digging up the garden and put in raised beds, etc). My weight has crept up back to 82kg (after Christmas), and I need to get back into running. I loved it. I have managed to go for a run outside about a month ago, and didn't do it again. I did Week 3 run, and was feeling fine after it.
So, my challenge is to get back to running. Ok, I might not be able to do it this week, as I have a friend visiting - but it will be an active time, no sitting on our backsides. But next week - I need some serious telling off/kick up my backside to get moving. I hope to go for the next IVF cycle in May, and I need my weight to go down to what it was before. I know I can do it - but I am lazy/got my priorities wrong.
I hope with all your support I can do this. I was contemplating entering into some race, but I don't think I have enough time to do it now before the next IVF, so it is just a challenge for myself. To get running!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
Went out yesterday as planned and did wk 1 run 3 yesterday and it's definately getting easier. Still felt queasy afterwards but not for as long, although i was red for ages as in over an hr! I wasn't huffy n puffy at the end like my first run, i was warm but not overly so cant really understand why i was red for so long.
Having a rest day today then starting wk 2 tomoro.£387.39/£196.46

I have nike+ just got the nike+ trainers (been using a shoe pouch with other trainers).
Wait until the little character starts running and when you get the videos telling you how great you are! Real motivator.
I've also set goals as well for number of runs, calories and speed. If you're near London Nike have just set up a 26 mile challenge, to run 26 miles by 12th April, you ideally need to be near London so you can collect your prize!0 -

I saw that challenge, might try it as think I will run that distance anyway (famous last words!)0
