Couch to 5k Running - Part Three

no no busiscoming2, first we all have days even weeks like that. In fact I am not sure if anyone on here has actually done it in 9 weeks. Secondly the start of week 6 goes back to interval training which I personally find a lot easier. I don't know where you are in the country but if you are anywhere hot that also has a big effect on how far and fast you can run. I wear a heart monitor so I can watch how I am doing as I go along. I know for a fact that due to the heat my heart was working a lot harder just to go at the same speed.
Don't lose heart.:)Enough money to live on so retired early...planning to see where life takes me:D0 -
Completed W3R3 this morning. Seems like I might be turning into an early riser:eek: DS had to go to work at 6am so I was awake and didn't really get back to sleep so got up at 7.30 and went off to do my run.
Not looking forward to W4 next week, but I was talking about running to a colleague today and she's going to join me on the programme :j
I also got my sponsor forms and t-shirt today for the 8k race I'm entered for in September. Hope everyone has a lovely weekend, I'm going to sit in the garden now and put my feet up!0 -

We went for a walk in the Lake District, did about 7.5-8km, and it was lovely.Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
ginvzt....what a lovely place to go for a walk!!
Well i completed W2R3 today. As soon as i started running my knee and ankle ached quite a bit...they werent really painful but i felt as tho i was really stiff and my movement was really jarred. Is this normal as my body is having a bit of a shock doing this exercise? or do you think something is wrong? Just feel really stiff.
Anyway, I did complete the run but not sure how i'll manage with week 3!! Good luck eveyone xDS Anthony Steven 07.06.92DD Becky Emma 24.01.94DD Rose Grace Jean 12.05.090 -
Thanks for explaining Ginsvt. Your walk sounds great.
angela6834 I was thinking something similar myself. I can't tell if I am aching and stiff because I am getting old or because I am runningEnough money to live on so retired early...planning to see where life takes me:D0 -

Week 5 Run 3 done:j
I can't believe i managed to run for 20 minutes! Thanks to everyone on here for the encouragement, 5 weeks ago i struggled to run 60 seconds.
I had a really bad stitch for the last five minutes and wanted to shout at Robert that surely the last minute was done but I did it:T Looking forward to getting back to intervals next week though.
Good luck to everyone else out for a run today.
