Body pump is great. You can lift as heavy or as light as you want. My gym does 45 min sessions as well as 1hr. Tonights was 45 mins.

I keep going :) After second session I'm less tired then after first one, but my muscles still hurt after it.
  • Hi everyone, I have never run in my life but read about the c25k challenge and thought this might be what I need to improve my fitness. :p

:wave:So many new people, great to see everyone giving it a go.

TRH, I do body pump, I love it. I started off with the smallest weights possible on my bar. Stayed like that for a few weeks, then gradually increased on some of the moves.

I have done week eight, hoping to start week nine tomorrow. :T Not looking forward to it ending, hope I can keep it up when there is no program to follow. I have bought a 10k podcast, so I'll give that a go I think, after a few weeks.

I'm all about the freebies!! :)
  • Hello All )

My foot has been feeling tons better. I tested a run on Tuesday and then managed week 4 run 2 (the one I cross trained last week) on Wednesday. Will finish week 4 hopefully either tomorrow or Sunday dependent on how I feel.

Thanks for the positive reviews of Body Pump. May give it a go on Sunday.

I'm really loving the fact I can report my runs on here. Gives me an extra motivation as my other half doesn't class what I do as "running". Then again, I can just about do 10 mins and he can run 30 mins nice and easy and then do some more. Lucky git! :D

Well done to all those who managed a run this week. To those of you who had interviews/were ill/were injured, I hope you feel better and can manage something next week. ;)
How long til pay day?

    Hi!
I've finished my second week :) I can run now 2 minutes constantly, someone will laugh, but it's an improvement for me. I'm looking forward to another week.
I've wanted to run in a local run , end of June. I didn't realised though 3 miles are for teenagers only and in my age group I'd had to run 6 miles. I don't think I'm confident enough to commit myself to promise "I'll run 6 miles in 4 months". Possibly I'll try other run.
