The majority of us used these podcasts - they're music with audio cues for when to start and stop running. You put them on your ipod or an mp3 player.

The actual plan is here if you want to see what you're letting yourself in for, or if you'd rather try to time/measure yourself. There are some alternative podcasts here or here!

The programme is designed for you to run 5k in 9 weeks, but you might find you want to repeat weeks if you struggle. That's fine, I think we all repeated at least 1. It's not recommended to skip weeks though.

After weeks and weeks struggling with a calf strain, I have finally finished week one, and today moved onto week two.

I feel so happy, I literally felt like jumping for joy.

:j:j did 2nd run of week two :j:j

Went out despite the awful weather. Running in the rain felt quite good.

Won't be able to do the third run 'till Friday as doing other stuff and work. My time table has to be a bit flexible, but feel really committed. Hope I carry on feeling this way.

I've lapsed in my running over the past few weeks but forced myself out this morning.
