Couch to 5k Running - Part Three

Well done skintlass :A
Haven't had time to post but I am still lurking and running a bit. Last Sunday I did 8.5K using the podrunner intervals. I only know the distance because I had to walk it the next night to measure it and I realised what a long way I had gone. I am having to try out routes around the roads as the fens have been too wet to go out on. Today the weather is fantastic but my hubby has gone on a 50 miles bike ride for charity and there were baby sitting issues. Mine are both teenagers but this could be worse:D
So this morning feeling a bit peeved that I had not been able to go out I used the free jogging thing on the wii. In no way was this the same:o but I could see that this option had never been used as I was too unfit before. I can see it might be useful in the depths of winter(next week???):rotfl:
Keep going everyone.Enough money to live on so retired early...planning to see where life takes me:D0 -
Okay, I have now finished week 8. Week 9 will start tomorrow. Can't really believe that I am on the last week.
Hope everyone has a good week now.0 -
Been having a rest today as I did my 5k funrun yesterday (37:40, so proud of myself) so I'll be back onto Week 7/8 tomorrow - need to build back up the stamina as I didn't do as much straight out running as I wanted - which was a shame** Total debt: £6950.82 ± May NSDs 1/10 **** Fat Bum Shrinking: -7/56lbs **

I do it all because I'm scared.

Will be going for a run tomorrow morning, just need to sort myself out some music this evening. What to pick? Anybody have suggestions for good running music?0 -
Ok so I keep starting and stopping on this! Today I tried to start again with week one but had to spend the last 10 minutes walking because I obviously didn't stretch well enough and got pains in my calves! Just running a bath now to try and relax them. Hopefully can get going on this, I've started scheduling running time in my diary, I'm that serious to start getting healthy again!Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170

Hello
I hope you don't mind me just jumping in here;) I am about to start jogging/running next week (when the kids go back to school) I am going to aim to go straight from dropping the older two off and the plan is to go to the local little woods that are a few minutes drive. I will be jogging with my two LO's in a double buggy...not really sure how feasible this is, but should be OK!
Is there a plan laid out somewhere in the thread that you are all following, or can you point me in the right direction of how to gently ease myself into this...
Many Thanks
