  • Morning everyone. I ran G28K week 5 this morning. I did run last week but only once. Was feeling really down in the dumps(dad had a bad fall) so could not motivate myself to get up and go. On Sunday I pretended to myself I wasn't really going for a run and did C25K week 8 (my favourite). This week I knew I had to do better otherwise all the good work I have done so far was going to go to waste. Besides running helps you stop feeling down but getting out the door is difficult:o Anyway enough feeling sorry for myself I've done it:D
To everyone using the G28K week 5 onwards the music is slightly better, it has a "latin" flavour.
Wet and windy here but I needed a shower anyway and I walked the dogs as my warm up in my running gear so that when I got back it was easier to go straight back out again.
Welll done everyone you are doing great. Keep it up.

Drea. I am sure we have had a weekend since I last posted. Weren't you going to use those beautiful treadmills in the gym?????:p
Enough money to live on so retired early...planning to see where life takes me:D
  • Week 7 run 2 done now,I've actually managed 3 runs this week which I am pleased about.

Sounds like you had a good run teachergirl. I'm still trying to get back into regular running after my holiday. I've been back for about six weeks now :o.

I also need to get some new trainers, mine got very wet and took 2 days to dry. Not sure which ones to get really, is it best to go to a sports shop? Any particular sport shop do good advice and fitting that any of you kind souls could recommend? Thanks.:D

I tried the 25 mins this morning and I managed 20 mins. A few weeks ago I would have seen this as a fail, but since reading Memorygirls thread, with the positivity from it, I am now proud of myself as a few months ago I struggled to run for 3 minutes! Whew long sentence.

    Happy running!

yay - finally managed to break the 5k distance I've been doing for months, I didn't go much further but I did go further. I know its with the intervals but its still a psychological barrier that I needed to break.
