    Juno:eek:
    When is the run?
    September 19th :(
I started this programme yesterday - didn't like the music however tried to stick to the pace, for a change :D
It gets better. Well, it gets different, anyway.

Ice your foot Juno - and take ibuprofen.
I already take industrial strength ibuprofen (aka Diclofenac) for my arthritis

I went to Boots today and bought a tubigrip. Helpfully they were only labelled as "small" "medium" or "large". I don;t go round looking at people's ankles and deciding if theirs is large or small and comparing mine! I know I have small wrists as I buy children's watches, but that doesn't help.

So instead of going for a run tonight I am staying in and reading running magazines.

My foot also got run over by a trolley today. I think the world is conspiring against me.

    Which did you get?

I got Women's Fitness which I subscribe to and love - the current issue has an article on going from 5k to 10k which some people might find helpful though I feel their training plan is a little short, Running Fitness - I don't like the font, and Runner's World

Sorry to hear about your foot juno, I hope it gets better soon

Just did week 2, going to do it again on fri , then onto week 3 next week. I also did an extra little sprint up a hill to get home as it started to pour and i HAD to get my washing in. Amazing what motivates us.

  • I did it! Actually went out for a run,I did week 6 run 1. In the rain and everything:D. Must make myself go tomorrow too. All those holiday ice creams have done my weight no favours, could not help myself though. Italian ice cream is the bestest and all those flavours! I had to try and test them all :o...they were all sooo yummy.

Hope your foot feels better Juno and that you can do your run.

Week 3 run 3 done today - bit slippy but was OK. Got some new jogging trousers (well 3/4 length as I can't run in full trousers without catching myself up in them) and they're VERY comfy...LA Gear in SportsWorld for 7.99 if anyone's interested....now to find a new top!

    Stop!

    Don't look for Women's Fitness!

I'm an idiot and meant Women's Running!

Women's Fitness is another magazine that I was tempted to buy as I'm sure it's excellent. But women's running is better.

If you have bought the wrong magazine then all is not lost, as you can read their old features online. You'll have to wait a month, though, as they don't put current stuff up. You can see the cover so you know what to look for - it's woman in pink vest top with trainers over her arm.

    Hrmm...
I'm due to do wk3 day 3 tomorrow morning but can feel the beginnings of a cold (tight throat, mild sinusitis, sleeping on and off throughout today). Should I run in the morning or not?
Really bad timing, not had a cold in about 4 years AND I am off to London at the weekend to see my beloved Muse.
    I want to cry :(

See how you feel. I often think I'm getting a cold and then the next day I'm fine. Plan to do tomorrow's run, and then if you feel awful just go for a brisk walk to carry on the continuity of the runs (unless you feel too awful to get out of bed).
