  • Hi! I've not run in an age..shame on me:o. We were away for two weeks and been back for two weeks almost. I must get out soon.

I did manage two runs while on holiday,it was hard going. Up in the hills we were and I ran out of puff very quickly. So, must go for a run. Think I will restart week six. Hope you are all well and not a lazy moo like me.:D

I've just been out for a run. It was quite an interesting run. I was a bit hyper, so instead of a normal run I did bursts of sprinting followed by walking whilst singing and dancing. I'm not sure it's following any approved training plan, but I enjoyed it.

  • So Juno who is going to win the race?????;)
Which one is it? and really good luck.
I went for my first run since coming back from holiday. I only did 40 minutes running....whoever thought I would say that and ONLY in the same sentance?:D
It actually felt very good. I only hope I can keep the motivation up now I haven't got my dream holiday to look forward too.

Managed to run 7k this morning in a hour round the lake, very slowly :) yet I struggle to run 3k on the treadmill! Anyone else find it harder to run indoors?
  • Juno I will definitely keep an eye out for you;)....an excellent cause.
    Well done spinme...anyone else running,
Feeling really stiff this evening:o I also hate running indoors...just find it so boring in comparison and hard not to give up.

I've just come back from what seems to be my weekly 5k now. Undecided as to whether to push distance or time.

Have you seen the gateway to 8k podcasts? The music may not be your thing, though. It's very much not my thing but the fact it had a definite pace helped when running. He's also got a 10k mix but the pace is faster than for the 8k although the intervals are shorter.

I haven't looked at the gateway to 8k no as I'd heard the music was particularly bad.

I wouldn't say it's particularly bad, it's just not to everyone's tastes. I think a lot of people do tend to run to dance type music. I personally don't notice music that much when I'm running as I just sort of start enjoying it.
