JodyBPM- I would say go for it,thought it would be best to just okay things with your doctor. You sound like me, I have never got on with exercise and I do smoke too. Totally agree with you on the gym,I would sign up then not go then be well cross at the money wasted.
Strangely beginning to enjoy this malarky..,never thought I would say that. The podcast I follow is a lady called Carli( I find it easier to run to her choice of music,Robert is too tinkly for me).
So go on..you know you want too.0 -

Did another set of interval training yesterday morning. I ran further in slightly less time than the last run - woohoo! I actually felt like I was sprinting in my sprinty bits rather than just plodding a bit faster than normal.Never let your sucesses go to your head and never let your failures go to your heart.:beer:0

Skintlass and fedupandskint- You are both doing so well.
Wish I could say the same, not been for a run since last friday:eek:.
The other half has been working till silly o'clock and with the kids off school I have not had a chance to go. Am hoping tonight will be better or I will have to get my lazy self out of bed for 4:30am to get a run in before my husband leaves for work( might be kidding myself here).0 -
Hi Schoolhouse, I've not done so well today, my knees and ankles were hurting so I didn't go as far - my sprints were still (for me) proper sprints though which is good. I had to kick myself to go out as well.Never let your sucesses go to your head and never let your failures go to your heart.:beer:0

I completed week 6 today with a run of 25mins. I felt tired but kept going.

Not many posts on here recently, I hope everyone is still running!
I've completed C25K :j:j though I can run for 30 mins I'm still only getting to 3k. I've returned to the gym and had a fitness assessment today and they'll work out a programme for me when I go back next week. Got my 8k race in only 8 weeks and I want to be able to run most of it. Had a run in the gym today, what on earth is the weather doing out there? This is supposed to be summer!
Good luck everyone:beer:0 -
