Been out for Run 2 Week 5 this morning -legs alittle achy but not too bad, infact the 2nd 8min run went well.

Not entirely looking forward to Run 3 which is 20mins but I guess this is where I need to be to get to 5k so will do this in the next couple of days.

whoop whoop - week 6 run 3 completed this morning. Definately before breakfast works best for me.

My sister has decided to try the plan now and just finished her week 1. Said she is going to kill me that she really struggled with it and how did I get through it?

Told her to stay strong and keep believing - we have all been there.

I power walked again this morning. I'm hoping that yetserdays bad run was a one off.

Morning everyone. I much prefer the before breakfast runs. Have failed miserably in the run every day stakes though:o Day 1 forgot that we were getting up in the early hours of the morning to take DS to catch a plane to do his voluntary work. Tried a power walk at about 5.30pm but it was still SO hot I struggled.
    Yesterday I did G28K week 9 run 2 , two 25 minute runs.(next week it is 50 minutes non stop:eek:)

Today ...my excuse is????? Just still feel really tired and a bit under the weather. I will try a power walk later on.

Well done everyone you are doing great.:)

I am looking fo a similar programme to keep going after I get to 5k - is there anything else around similar to C25K?

Hi there fedupandskint. I also wanted something to do after the C25K. I wanted something that had intervals and a programme with podcasts telling me when to run etc etc. I spent ages and ages searching and the only one I could find was from the podrunner intervals website which I think Drea put a link to in the first post, otherwise just type it into google. The music especially for the first four weeks is REALLY REALLY dire but it gets better after that. It has worked for me. Especially because for the first few weeks it feels easy when you have just completed the C25K. For example the first week is four seven minute runs with one minute imbetween each. I am nearly finished the G28K and they also have a Freeway to 10K which I hope to start next.(that starts with 4 minute runs) You can either start at week 1 again and use this to build up speed or start further in. At the end there is a fitness coach who gives running tips. Some of which are really good. Hope this helps.

Ok so my first day of interval running training and I didn't do it for very long - about 20 mins. Jog then sprint then jog then sprint. Jogged til I got my breath back each time basically. I'll keep on with it and hopefully the sprints will get longer and the jogs shorter.
