Not scheduled to run til tomorrow. I think my knees played up last time as I was pushing myself too hard....so the plan is: Shred everyday, run 3-4 times a week (depends on how I feel and whether I think the extra run is needed) and taekwando once a week until October, when I'll go twice a week.
    ** Total debt: £6950.82 ± May NSDs 1/10 **
    ** Fat Bum Shrinking: -7/56lbs **
    **SPC 2012 #1498 -£152 and 1499 ***
I do it all because I'm scared.

I'm on my bootcamp now, not doing my normal runs but I am exercising about 5.5 hrs per day and part of that is jogging. I ache in every muscle I have but its all good.

no posts for 24 hours, has everyone given up? or has the rain kept you in?

i ran last night again ( week 5 run 1), second night in a row and boy was it tough on the knees. glad I did though as today it is bucketing down. today I'm taking a rest and gearing up for the second run of week 5 which i found so difficult a few weeks. But for some reason I feel fitter since coming back from holiday even though i didn't move for 2 weeks:o , although miraculously i did loose half a stone over there ( how does that work?)

Sigh. Completed week 6 run 2 today and it sucked. My chest felt really congested and I was coughing up mucous the whole way through. Maybe i'm getting a cold or something cause my throat is sore too but I don't want to make excuses. Plus when I got on my Wii fit to weigh myself it said I've gained 13lbs in 2 weeks so i'm in a huff. Feeling a little disheartened actually.

Oh well, i think I'll hold off on the next run til Sunday and hopefully that will give me time to shake off whatever this is.

Good luck to everyone for their remaining runs this week.

Aw sleepytiger hope you feel better soon:grouphug:

cazmcf don't know where you are but it is still very hot and humid here........sheer exhaustion, due to it being the end of term, has meant I have not run since last Saturday. Went out this morning though and did week 9 run 1 of the G28K. That is 2 25 minute runs with a two minute interval. I didn't stick to my own advice and run very fast for the first run.:o Had to 'cos my DH was watching with the dogs! I did slow down for the second run but I prefer doing it the other way around. Anyway I am pleased to say I did it:j And it felt O.K. Now we are in the holidays I am hoping to try and up my running a bit until we fly off next Monday for our family big adventure in Borneo....really can't wait.

Well done fedupandskint, I'd love to shed another couple of pounds this week. skintlass are you still surviving????

Good luck to everyone runnning today.:D

    Hi teachergirl,
I did survive the bootcamp, it was a very painful but good (and educational) 4 days that pushed me to my limits. I'm allowed a day off today (apart from walking the dog) so will not be running until tomorrow. I do plan to run slightly differently as I need to do interval training again to spike my heartrate (and therefore burn calories more effectively) so I will combine sprints and jogs. I will still try and increase back to the 5k distance for 1 run a week. You are going to Borneo - what a holiday, I'm sure you'll have a fantastic time.

    i'm in n ireland teachergirl.

i ran last night and i'm soooo chuffed to say that i managed week 5 run2, whichdoesn't sound much compared to teachergirl and skintlass, but it is the farthest i've ever run in my life. Even OH is impressed.

I might try it again tonight and then take 2 days rest before trying day 3. I'll be amazed if i can manage that one.

    Hi cazmcf,
I wouldn't worry about what teachergirl or myself are doing. We both started from scratch and have been through the same stages as yourself. Without the encouragement of this forum I would never have got this far and would not have gone to the bootcamp.
Well done on doing week 5 run 2 :j
