Right, will come out of hiding now I've been running :o
Went out tonight and did about 3kms - first time since last Weds due to heat. Ran quite fast (for me) tonight and tried to have sections where I really pushed the pace, rather than doing a longer, slower run.
Good to see that people have managed to keep going. It's been so tough in the heat.
Think we've lost a few people though, Drea, Bertiebots, Juno to name only a few...
Well done to everyone else (have been reading all the posts even though I've been in hiding ;))
    Now proud Mumto3 :j

    Wondered where you were mumto2;)

It was only 20 degrees when I set off this morning(28 by the time I got back..phew)
I was determined to a) do enough exercise in zone 2 & 3 to complete my heart monitor targets b) To run no matter how slowly for 4 12 minute intervals and I am proud to say I did it.:j:j

Slight error on the washing front though I was getting my washing out at 6.00am this morning and realised that all my running gear was in there. So I wore it wet!!!!! It probably helped to keep me cool:rotfl::rotfl:

I walked out 8k on Wednesday night it seemed like a very long way. Sundays run is three 15 minute runs:eek:

Good luck to anyone running today:)
Enough money to live on so retired early...planning to see where life takes me:D

Just checking in ladies (not sure there's many blokes on here but those who are are honorary burrrds for today) not been for a run for over a week, too warm and too busy at home and work but have been doing alot of press ups instead - feel like my arms are ready to fall off so am actually looking forward to getting back to the running now - just hope it cools off over the weekend.

Pretty please can I join in?

I have bought the coolest clothes you have ever seen (Pineapple, black and pink) and am going running tomorrow.

I have been taking advice from my brother who runs marathons. He says run to the nearest lamp post then walk to the next one then run.

He swears blind if you can run for 20 minutes you can run forever.

I d/loaded some dance music onto my ipod, generally I do suicide stuff:cool:

I am taking the dog out with me.

I am going to attach my ciggys and lighter onto her collar.

And no, I am not joking:T
