    Thanks for the welcome

Finally managed to get the podcasts onto my ipod at long last after all night after worked out looking for them on itunes instead of the site.

Up and running now for Day 1 which may be tomorrow if my heels heal enough to put my trainers on (my walking boots ripped them apart last week)

Hi! I did my first run of week 1 yesterday evening and I did it all! I am so amazed. Reading this thread and how everyone on here has been doing is what motivated me to go last night so thanks you lot.

Just need to make sure I keep going now.:D I will report back if nobody minds. Hope you all have a lovely day.

I did my day 1 Week 1 this morning and I really enjoyed it - feeling a bit tired now

Managed it better than I thought and really pushed on the last 2 run sections

Next one is planned for Thursday

Totally agree with what everyone has said about the motivation on here - I would never have got round to it otherwise.

    Hi all,
I'm back!!! After my toe injury (the nail still looks like it may fall off) and exams, I have finally started running again - picked a good day to start, was quite warm! Ended up waiting til 8pm so i wouldn't get overheated.
Started at week 3 again and managed well, sore shins, but made it through til the end.
    Next one is on Wednesday
Has been almost a month now, so am so far behind on how everyone is doing!! Am looking foward to getting back into the swing of things now ... only 3 weeks til my 5K run, argh!! :)

Week 3 run 3 for me please - the other runs til Sunday I'll use to improve my stamina and build up a little more speed I think

Anyone else feel like they've bruised their heels? My right heel definitely feels bruised at the mo. Managed a shorter run this morning about 25mins as was very tired (again).

Got Tuesdayitis:mad: I hate trying to run later in the day. Yesterday I was trying to be sensible and not run in the middle of the day like last week. So I waited till about 4.30pm and then went for it. (Any later and cooking for everyone and sheer exhaustion takes over!!!) It did not take me long to realise it was still very hot. I managed my first two 12minute runs but I was struggling and my heart monitor was telling me I was out of Zone even when I slowed right down. So I did the last two intervals with a fast walk and a slow walk in my one minute interval. When I got home I checked the temperature and it was still 27 degrees. NO wonder I struggled. I also drunk all my water. There was a great sea breeze but even that was hot. So all in all I did not even increase my distance. I will have to try again Friday(Early)

Welcome back sarsief. I'm sorry you are still not up to running u01jet4 no wonder you are frustrated. I hope the Doc can sort you out. ranitaR of course we don't mind if you post...the more the merrier.

Drea how much supervising do we all need?;)

Well done to everyone who is still going despite the heat. Good luck to anyone running today.:)

Well done to all the runners in this heat :T and welcome back sarsief and u01jet4..

FUAS - glad to see you on here, hope you continue to feel motivated ;)

Managed to run for 24 minutes yesterday, it was pretty warm and I was shattered at the end, it took me a while actually to 'get over it' although I seem to manage to run for this time, I do find it very hard, I am hoping someone will tell me it gets easier!!

Have a good day and if you are running today have fun!
