    Well done 69chick.
I was meant to do w4r1 tonight but have hurt my back in a fall and so unable to run - gutted as I am worried that I will need to go back a week if I don't run soon.

Had a really rubbish run today:(

I had not realised how hot it was and went out at lunchtime. I usually take a snack for breaktime and I had forgotton it today so I was also starving hungry not a good combination.(need a bannana . Drea where are you?)

Managed the first two 11 minute intervals but really struggled. I could tell my body was not up to it because my heart reading was off the scale:eek: I slowed right down but I was still in zone 3 so I decided to power walk. I did not come home the very quickest route so I still did about 5K but a lot of it was fast walking.
At the end of each podcast there is a handy tip and this weeks was very timely. She explained that when you start to run in the heat your body has to work a lot harder so you must slow right down and give your body time to adjust. Apparently it takes 2 weeks for you to get used to running in heat.

Week 5 of G28K's music is better mumto2 but I don't know if you listened to any of week 4 not by any stretch of the imagination can it be called music...random noises more like:D

spinme. I am glad someone else has to blow their nose when running I thought I was the only one.

Didn't run Sunday as my stepmother was in hospital and I had to do the hospital run and cook for my Dad and family for Fathers day on top of the usual jobs. Hopefully back to normal this week and a better run on Friday.

Just about managed wk 6 run 2 today in the heat phew!! it was tough, although actually I found the first 10 min run harder than the 2nd, not sure why....

my next run is meant to be 25 mins, don't think I will manage it but think I will go out with the attitude that I will run as long as I can...

Hope everyone is staying motivated...I do find it harder in this weather, but I just know how much better I will feel when I am back and have had my shower :)

Well done for completing it though :T
I really struggled today with W6R1 in the heat. Had to resort to lots of walking breaks. I changed my usual course as I didn't have a lot of time to spare so went to my local green space but it was a mistake as there was no shade. Will attempt run 2 on Thursday back by the lake but I hope it's a bit cooler then.

Went out at half 6 this morning and it still felt warm! Couldn't find my MP3 player so I used my daughter's and ran to the sound of Horrid Henry stories!!!! Well at least it made a change but I am pleased I didn't have to pass anyone in case they could hear it:o

Good luck to everone running today - it is going to be a hot one.

Well I really didn't feel like running this morning - woke up really tired and had to literally force myself out the door. Managed my run though - about 30 mins and did the same distance I have been doing for the last couple of weeks (apart from the last run I did on Sunday which was longer) so feeling better about myself. I think it was the thought of not having run for a week which is too easy to then put off running until you have to start from the beginning again.

Week 2 run 2 was yesterday and it was still boiling at 7! Today i'll be doing run 3 (I aim for 4 or 5 to build my stamina more) and hopefully it'll be cooler.
