    Well done primmer and skintlass.:j

I was out again this morning. four ten minute runs with a one minute interval. I did my route backwards today because running on the far sea wall can be a bit wild and windy and is really tough when it is the last bit of your run, so I did it first today and ran through the farm last which was lovely.
I have met my targets for my heart monitor already this week which means Sunday is a free run again:). I started to listen to the first part of the next podcast for week 5 of the G28K and was a bit shocked when the voice said "in just 5 weeks you'll be running 50 minutes non stop:eek:" Then I realised I am actually running for 40 minutes already. (Trust me the one minute break goes really quick.) Ho Hum. Nowhere near 8K though. The only way I can increse my distance is to run the other side of the farm on that part of the sea wall as well. However it sounds and looks like miles...might but only might give it a go on Sunday depending on how I feel.;)

Good luck to anyone running today. Hope you are feeling better Ginsvt it is really horrible when you feel too ill to run but don't make yourself ill by running too soon.

Thought I was better yesterday. But today I came into work and I wish I could be at home in bed, with my blocked nose and ears, tired eyes, etc. Oh well, I'll cope.

Might go to the gym tonight, but not sure yet...

ginsvt have a rest you really could make it worse:(

By the way. Tuesday evening having done my really long run.(6.2K) I treated myself to half a small bag of cashew nuts. There was more calories in them than I had lost running. Obviously did not discover that until after I had eaten them.

Have done 3 good runs this week (Mon/Weds/Fri), really feel like I'm upping my pace and getting into it now. Increased my distance slightly today by extending a loop. Will just keep doing this and measuring on mapmyrun to see how far I'm going.

Teachergirl - have had to ditch DJ Jazzy Beat, it was driving me crazy. Am now back to The Killers :D Making up my own intervals, did 4.2kms tonight with 2 brief breaks.

Come on everybody, keep running and posting to say how you are getting on.

Newbies - you will get there, I did :j
    Now proud Mumto3 :j

Am on week 1 run 3, but I'll be doing an extra one tomorrow just to build my stamina a little more. Today it didn't feel so hard as it did on run 1, so that counts for something. I'll start week 2 on Sunday and run Monday too, as I won't be running again til Thursday (got plans for Monday evening - Weds evening ;) )

mumto2 I know just what you mean. At the moment I don't have any other way of doing it but I hope I might be getting an ipod touch very soon if there is anything I can do on there.
He has promised a latin flavour to week 5 and certainly the warm up music was much better but I have not listened to the running music yet. Will let you know Sunday.;)

Well done elfin. Good luck to anyone running today.

    Week 7 Run 1 done:j
I am feeling with the longer runs i am needing two days off to recover between runs. I mainly run early morning, half 6 to 7, and have found I haven't been waking up in time this week to manage my runs!

Hope everyone else is getting out today. Cold and breezy here so at least running keeps you warm!

Just been out for my run, took it slowly but ran further than before, mapmyrun says it was 4.82k and it took me 38 minutes. I feel very pleased and virtuous now. Will go for a swim and then have something to eat. I've booked a holiday as well to do fitness training for 4 days, its called a bootcamp. I may just need a holiday to recover from the holiday :-).

Well done 69chick on your run, especially with a sore leg.
