Sports Direct offer of the day is a running jacket for £8. I'd get it if I wasn't so poor! See, I do plan to get back to it at some point ;)

I've clicked on it so many times, then closed it down! I could afford it as have a little secret stash, do really need it as running in a thick, tracksuit material hoody. So, why am I dithering...

Got it - I think I'm worried about looking like a proper runner BUT not running like one :rotfl:

Dithered too long and they didn't have the size I wanted. Have got the size smaller, so will now look like a crap runner wearing clothes too small :rotfl::rotfl:

That is soooo annoying. I was in Sports Direct with Jez on Saturday and he said get what you want, so I got running shorts and couple of tops, if I had seen the jacket I would have got that! They only have the yellow in my size mind you, I would blind everyone hehe.

Hi folks, I did a week 4 run at the weekend but couldn't finish it again, so I am definitely moving back to week 3 for a while. I shall get out either tonight or tomorrow. My shin is beginning to cause me a bit of a problem again and it is that that stops me running for any length of time!

Managed to complete W5R2 this afternoon. Am really not sure about the huge jump from 2 x 8 mins to a 20 min run
Going to have a couple of days break and maybe attempt it on Saturday. How did everyone else manage it?

Went out for a run earlier without the mp3 as I picked it up and realised it needed recharging. So only did a mile, really couldn't face forcing myself any further without the accompaniment of music. On the plus side did the mile in 8mins flat, and didn't feel like dying when I got home - in fact I felt I could happily have gone and done another mile and worked harder at it than I did.
It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Although I wasn't feeling well yesterday (I am not feeling too well today either), I got myself to the gym.... Maybe not the brightest idea, but I had an 'afternoon nap' and I though if I won't make myself tired enough I won't sleep at night. I was tired in the evening, but I still didn't sleep well!!!!

anyway, I knew I won't be able to do 28 min again, so just ran for as long as I could (12 min) and then did another 10 min on 'skiing' machine (found out how it is cold - Cardio Wave). So, even I didn't do as much as usual, I still did something and didn't spend all day on sofa or in bed feeling sorry for myself.

I am hoping to be able to get to the gym tomorrow again. Even if I only do a few minutes of running, it still counts for something, as otherwise I just sit on my bum all day!

I noticed, that if I find it hard to run required time, an extra day or rest helps a lot. I think some bodies just need a bit more time to recover... At least until they get (more) fit...

I ran again this morning, 30 mins slowly but at least I did it. I'm going to try and extend the distance at the weekend.

I would normally have done my run today (should be wk 6 run 3) but as I stabbed myself in the leg on Tuesday with a piece of glass ( ( long story ) it is a bit sore so I thought I would give myself an extra days rest....

Will report back as to how I get on, as it is the first time I am supposed to run for 25 minutes (yeah right!!!)

Well done all of you that ran today, especially if it is as hot where you are as it is here!!
