I should have run this morning but had no energy at all. I'll try either tomorrow or Tuesday.

Just walking back to the car after successfully completing the last of the Couch to 5k podcast runs ('scuse the typing :) ). I ran a measured 5k last Friday - took longer than 30 minutes though - and today ran for 30 mins on a pan flat sustrans cycle path.

This is just a quick note to say if I can do it as an overweight 46 year old anyone can. Cool runnings to everyone. :)

You cannot live as I have lived an not end up like me.

Oi you lot - please :heart:GIVE BLOOD  - you never know when you and yours might need it back! 67 pints so far.

Hi everyone, long time no see :) have been off on hols and then away for work and my newly minted 5k award has sadly fallen into disrepair. I tried running again this morning at the gym and managed 2x8mins with a 5 min walk in between so imagining I'm somewhere around week 6 again. So I'm back and trying to work my way up. I've also put on half a stone in the meantime as well but have had quite a good time for it so can't complain.

Hope you're all getting on well

It seems like a few of us have lost motivation!!!

I am trying to do W6r1 but keep falling a bit short on each of the runs. This morning I just put my music on and ran as far as I could for as long as I could, it was probably two lots of 10 mins with a 3min walk in the middle. I find I get so hot when I run and I seem to have reached a barrier with the running - if that makes sense?

Oh well any running is better than none!

well i got my motivation back this morning but now i feel like giving up.
i tried week 5 run 2 (2x 8 mins) for the second time and found it so hard, i managed the first 8 min and only 7min of the second lot. I dont see how i'm ever going to manage the 20 mins.

Still not got around to downloading the podcasts, and if I'm honest don't think I'm going to just yet.

But did todays run 2miles in 22 mins, less walking than usual but clearly running slowly due to the ridiculously early hour (for me at least) but also have to admit to standing still for a minute or so because I spotted three deer and a fawn in the field I run through and didn't want to disturb them - it almost made the early hour worthwhile.
It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

    Hi everyone,
Good to see posts from a few people who haven't been on for a while (that includes you Drea!). Haven't seen Juno or Bertibots though, don't like to see people disappear :(

Teachergirl - That music is horrendous  I'm really not sure how I'm going to manage 10 weeks of that. Bring back Robert! Did ok with Week1 though. Feel a bit of a fraud doing 4 x 7mins as that less than I have been doing, but it was nice to have the intervals and legitimately walk for 1 min rather than skiving!!! :rotfl:

    Good luck everyone

Well done everyone I am so motivated by all your efforts and successes to get out again but my leg muscle is still hurt. Will be a week tomorrow since my last run and it is really getting me down that I can't get out :( so many people run past my house each evening and I wish it was me!
