    How about gasping "hello, yes I'm fine" to the nice old guy walking his dog while I was puffing and panting on my return leg, does that count?

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    I managed my wk 6 run 2 today, I found it really hard, in fact when I started out on the run I truly though there was no way I would manage it but I did by just keeping on going....the weather was hot and muggy and I have got bad hayfever today as well :( have suffered with hayfever all my life, am thinking I might have to get down the gym to use the treadmill (which I need to sort out for bad weather anyway) as the run has made it much worse - oh poor me eh :D

    teachergirl, you are racking up those runs :T the distance seems good to me... I am not running for as long as you but don't actually know the distance I am covering..

    Was thinking of getting a heart rate monitor, do they measure distance as well? probably not but would be good if they did :cool:

    cookiemum - well done you :TI have the dreaded 25 min run coming up on Thursday :eek: I will as I have been planning on giving it a go, but I think if I can do 20 mins I will be happy with that...

    U01jet4 - I really hope your leg improves soon, at least you still have the motivation to go out, but you must rest up first

    Hi 69chick. It's a bit of a cheat really you have to buy add ons to measure distance and you have to make sure you buy a monitor that can do it. Mine is a FT60. I also bought a footpod(measures the distance) secondhand on e-bay. It wasn't cheap but I love it:) If I had bought gym membership it would have cost me more.

    Well, I am off again. I mean I off from running. Got up with fever, blocked nose, and hyperventilating a bit. Went upstairs to pick up the laptop and it was harder than running for 28 min! I am fed up of being ill....

    If it improves, I'll get to the gym tonight, but I am not promising...

    Sports Direct offer of the day is a running jacket for £8. I'd get it if I wasn't so poor! See, I do plan to get back to it at some point ;)

    well i got my motivation back this morning but now i feel like giving up.
    i tried week 5 run 2 (2x 8 mins) for the second time and found it so hard, i managed the first 8 min and only 7min of the second lot. I dont see how i'm ever going to manage the 20 mins.
    I know the feeling oh-so well. I was on wk5 for about three weeks trying to perfect it :o

    Yesterday I went out feeling hopeless after 7 attempts at doing the 28 minutes had failed miserably. BUT I actually did it this time :eek: You know it's so annoying because some nights I can barely do 8-minutes and others I seem to do it no problem. I wish I knew why that was :mad::mad::mad:
